Aside from mylotting, and clicking ptcs, what is your job? I am a bum right now, I am a nurse, unfortunately, the hospital where i was working closed down due to financial difficulties. Do you realized the number of nurses now here in my country? My guess is the supply is more than 5x the demand. Too bad parents are still encouraging their children to take up nursing. Am glad glad that I will be interviewed on friday. Hope I'll be given another chance to work. My body is aching for not working, I would rather work than do nothing, it makes me sick. What is your job now? what do you exactly do?

I work at a book store - as a cashier (and I sometimes stock & do other things, too). It's with my school's work-study program. I wouldn't really even call it a job, except for that it pays me. I don't make very much & I work part-time, mostly after school and sometimes between classes. I like doing it though, because it definitely keeps me busy (I hate being lazy!) I don't like it because it's not an internship (which i want) & doesn't really give me any relevant experience in the workforce. :[

Oh I would be happy to get a part time job as yours, I dont really mind because right now, I need money. Am getting married soon. If you dont call it a job, then maybe, you think its a hobby and you are getting your reward(payments). lol. I want to keep myself busy also. I don't exactly know what you want to be in the future.Anyway, I wish all the best of luck for your future.

Well, were the same, i have no formal job, i work part time as a dog breeder and seller, i do freelance graphics designing jobs with my husband, and I am a nurse as well. Today, i called about 30 plus hospital, and got a no vacancy response as always.
almost all the hospitals here in manila philippines dont have vacancies.
True, finding work here as a nurse is really hard.

Very true, way below minimum wage. I guess some of the hospitals just found a weak spot.
About dog breeding, yes, i do it for the love of it! Its fun! And congratulations on the poodle! Theyre really cute, especially if you give them the poodle hairstyle!

Actually, the poodle is older than our relationship. Before we became WE, he has a dog already. I wish we could mate it to same breed. The dog is pretty cute all white in color and one in a million though am not sure if my bf is still open to find a mate for his dog. We were looking for his mate last last year. How long is the life of a dog?

Wow! Dogbreeder? not bad. My bf has a medium male poodle. Even the topnotchers are having a hard time to find work in Manila. I guess some hospitals are trying to make money out of nurses before they hire them. Nurses are well abused nowadays, their salary is below minimum also.

Hi janel,
I have no job now but I was in the teaching field for 8 years!
I started applying again since I realized that I can't be a homemaker for life!I can do it of course but not full time!
Good luck in your career, there are so many jobs for nurses in the US!

Hi janel,
I am not very patient honestly, but I love kids, teens and love to impart my knowledge to them! LOL!
Stress for me before wasn't because of the kids but with head or co-teachers but when I move another school, I was very happy reporting in my job everyday! It was a very great University!
Surely, there are take home jobs but I used to finish everything at school so that I can relax at home! LOL! ENjoy!

Hi! You are a teacher and it surely takes a lot of patience to be one. Some of the teachers here are getting white hair at their early age due to stress. Being a teacher means you have a take home job. You have answer sheets to bring and check at home. Teachers here are called hero because it is a very hard work. Hope you can start soon. Goodluck!

Wow..same here janelacson, I use to be a call center agent...but then they were badly affected by the economic recession that they have to let go some of their agents. I've been out of work for a month, now...I'm once again a call center agent. lol...but I haven't started yet, I'm still completing my requirements.
Good luck on your interview!

Oh actually, one of my co-applicants said that their being strict on hiring nursing students/nurses now, because like, when you guys passed the exam...you guys resign from the job. lol. There are some call centers though that don't mind what course your in. Like the last one that I was with, they were pretty open to things like this...they were open at being a stepping stone.

Well, I do understand your plight. I am an instructor on First aid and Pro CPR courses. Most of those that take my course are nurses and caregivers since I can issue completion cards that are accepted abroad. I can see there are a lot of them who really wanted to go abroad. The thing is, the it is really hard to work abroad most especially in the United States. Well, the important thing is to never lose hope. If there is a will there is always a way.

I have lost count already. With respect to nursing jobs, I do not see any problem. You are definitely right, there are a lot of opportunities and the thing is, it is not only in the United States. It also a demand in other countries like Canada and just recently in Japan. The most important thing is just to be alert and be able to seek the opportunities. Best to you and do keep in touch.

Thanks for telling me that you are an Instructor. You maybe have trained thousands of nurses and caregivers already. A lot of them aims to work abroad, you know how down our economy is, aren't you? I always look forward that I will still get what I have been aiming. I hate pessimistic people just like yesterday, one filipina nurse from new york said that many nurses are out of job there. She is discouraging me. I said to her that maybe nurses are out of job only in her location. Because if you will just search online, there is still a very big demand of nurses abroad. I ended up telling her to make a research first. I don't like talking to people like her.

Hi! I know you are a business minded person, you cant post links here, they will ban you for doing that. You are just a beginner. You better read their terms first you are committing violations. Thanks for wishing me luck. I know your intention is good. There are ways to promote but not in the discussions area. Be careful!

Right now I am working as a secretary in a construction office. I am here most of the time alone in the office but sometimes there is lots to do. Documents to type and so on. And other times I have nothing to do so I get into mylot :-) I can´t say I like my job. Actually I don´t like it at all. It´s boring and has nothing to do with design that is my actual career. I don´t get sick when I don´t work. Actually is when I get better cause I am a night person and can follow my organism while when working I don´t sleep 5 hours a night and have to work during the day. Then start to get stressed and have stomach pain. This is bad.

Why do you still stick in your job if you don't like it? Maybe you have a better future in designing because that is your interest. Are you working on it to meet what you really desire?

After years of misery in the banking sector I left to become a mum and, although that has been the most rewarding job of my life, when my daughter started school I enrolled in a freelance journalism course. I graduated in 2007 and I am writing now, which has been my passion since childhood. I am making very little money but I am so much more satisfied with my work and being able to do it from home is a bonus!
