I miss my Daisy May

I took my Daisy May into the vets today to be spayed. I packed her basket and put a clean tee shirt and sweater on her. I am a little nervous about her being gone over night because she was so insecure when I got her and she is just getting to where she will go out in the back yard without me. Yesterday when I told her she had to spend the night at the vets for surgery. She was sitting on my lap with her feet on my chest and was looking at me. I was talking to her and when I said she has to have surgery, she put her right paw over her right side of her face and hide her face into my chest. She kept her paw over her face hiding it for a while. I started giggling at her and told my Daisy May just because she is hiding and looking so cute it will not keep her from going to the doctors. She is such a challenge but then she is such a love bug. I will be so glad to see Daisy May tomorrow. I did drop her off with her training collar and remote for it. When Daisy is not behaving all's I have to do now is just say to her is “Do I have to get your remote?” and she obeys me or I un-clip the remote off of my collar. What a silly girl. It is hard for you guys to be away from your pets for a night? How do you sleep when you know your pet if away from home for the night?

I'm sure she'll be fine, but you're still going to worry. They say that neutering a male will calm him down, I wonder if it works the same for females?

I she is home now and sleeping in her basket beside me. I did not sleep for worry about her. She did fine and they did not have to use her shock collar on her.

I really havent left my babies overnight. My lil one gets so scared so easy, and she is really scared if she dosent know a person. So far, I havent had to do that...I am very picky about them. She has to have covers and gets so cold so easy..she has her own blanky and well all 3 of them do...I know you miss your doggie but you will have her back soon....and you can spoil her then ...I know mine are spoiled.. and they always will be lol

Yours gets cold like my Daisy May. She wears two layers sometimes and also burrows under the blankets. She wears a tee shirt and a sweater. The tee shirt helps keep the sweater in place. I found polo shirts for the dogs for 3.99 a piece in a catalog today I think I will order a couple for her.

If my cats are safely at home, I don't have as much trouble as when they are at the vet. Oliver, (the little one in my avatar) has NEVER spent a night away from the house since we got him at 7 days. Even when my vet wanted to keep him over night, I said that I couldn't get there during the time they were open the next day so I needed to take him home that night. It was true, but even so... Ping and Pong, and Rygel and his brother, Sirius, both went together to get fixed, so even tho they spent the night away from home, they had each other... Well, they didn't put Rygel and Sirius together until the next morning, but that was because they were meowing the place down when they got there. The put them in the same cage, and they got quiet for a bit, then they tore up the cage! (Probably Rygel really.)

I had to laugh at what the cats did. I guess they had to get back at the vet for what happened to them. Daisy May may tear up her bedding or basket tonight when I have had to lock her up in her kennel and she gets mad she tears up her bedding. Who knows maybe she will be so sleepy she will be fine. She had such a hard beginning to her life I am worried for the little girl I hope she does not revert to the little insecure girl I first brought home.

I'm sure Rygel was the mastermind of the tear up! He's always been a "busy" boy! Heck, Sirius, like Boris after him, used to hide from his "busy" sibling. Natasha, Boris' sister and the busy one, caused her new owner to have to put all her nic-nacs away because she broke things! I can so relate!

Today Daisy tore up most of a roll of TP while I wash showering. She has such great fun and when I got out of the shower she went into the submissive pose. She looked at me over her shoulder with TP sticking out of her mouth. She was so cute.

Aw I hope Daisy May makes out ok at the Vets office. I am away from my 2 kitties and bird every weekend. One weekend I do overnights at my job and come home in the morning, then the other weekend I go in at 3pm on Friday and don't get home until a little after 6pm on Sunday night, and I miss and worry about my babies the whole weekend.

I bet you do miss them. I know you have someone well qualified to take care of them while you are gone. It is so hard leaving your pets. MY hubby and I will be gone for a week to our son's and his girlfriend's next week when they have their baby. We will be taking Daisy May and leaving Petie with a friend. the cats will be here in the house by themselves. I hate to do it but we will have a friend come and check on them a few times. I am thinking on having the neighbor hood teenagers come over and check on them and give them loves everyday while we are gone.

Its coincidence that the same thing happened with MY "Daisy" - and leaving her behind at the vets for her spay surgery was bad enough - but the worst was when we had to travel to Hawaii - and had to leave both our doggies behind - for 2 weeks!!!!! We were thinking of them and missing them the entire trip!

I had a dalmatian when I went to pick her up from the vets after her spay she jumped up on me. OH well if she was going to harm herself it was at the vets office right then and there. She was totally fine.

Our Daisy is known even at the Vet's as "Crazy Daisy" because she's highly energetic and extremely hyperactive. We were told to make sure she doesn't play or exert herself or the stitches come out - or even worse, her insides would give way. But, no sooner than she was brought back, she was playing and jumping around -and I had a time to make her stay still. But she's completely ok now and luckily nothing went wrong.

I don't have a pet... but i sure fell what you are feeling right now... when i was sick... my daughter had to be away form me for two nights... because i didn't want her to get sick too... and it was quite difficult because i am so used to having her with me all the time... and i think i can't ever do that again...

I bet you missed your daughter a lot but you needed the rest also. What would have been the best is if she could have been immune and you have help in the house. Hay we can dream
