Do you have more friends online than off. Here on mylot I don't know any of my friends in real life, but on other online social networks most of the people that are friends are only people I know in real life. I see people with thousands of online friends and I wonder why would they have all of those friends, most of them they don't talk to if they don't know them and they are not networking. I don't know maybe that's just me.

I have more real-life friends than online friends 'cause I think they're much better than online friends. I can rely through them even without the power of technology. They're just a ride away.

I used to know a lot of people online when I was in university. Then when living in hostel, most of my time was spent irc-ing. Then I stopped when I got a job. But somehow over the years, the people who are physically around me are just my colleagues. Friends is just like a handful (literally).

I personally have more friends online than in real. I guess it is because I find it easy to find people that have stuff in common with me online. In the real world I find that most of the people I have the chance to meet, just aren't the kinds of people that I really want to socialize with.

I only have one or two online friends, but I have over 30 people I consider my friend in real life.

Well in real life I probably have close to a couple hundred friends (I went to a high school with 3000 kids so making friends was pretty simple), but on myspace I have over 1,000. I do that because I'm in a band, so it's easier for me to like you said, network on my personal myspace AND my band's myspace. But I wouldn't consider all of that thousand to be my "friends", so I would have to say i still have more IRL friends.

I see that myself. Myspace and Myyearbook is bad about people just wanting you to add them to be their friends so they can brag about i got thousands and thousands of friends. I only add people whom, I know personally or have exchanged a few emails with and would like to get to know better on those sites.
I have more real friends than online friends though I will have to say one of my closest and dearest friends is one I've met online. We share so much, and we pretty much talk day in and day out. We know each other inside and out to the most part. We keep each other very sane, lol. I can't see not having her as a friend, as we've shared so much. We have mini family vacations together and our kids love each other. Some people think it's nuts when you tell them that you've met someone online but in my case, I am very thankful that we took a chance on each other.

I have more real friends than online. More than half or my chat Id are from my real life friends. There are my friends from my high school, university, junior high school, family and some of partner in my activity.
I have one virtual friend and we meet each other in the real life. It's so interesting to have new friends but sometimes not all people are kind. I try to reject some ID that i don't know because sometimes it's bother me in the middle of my interesting chat with my friends.
Happy mylotting!

I have a good many "real" friends, but I must say my best friend actually started out as an "online" friend. She's been there for me when my so called "real" friends were not. She even talked to me on the phone until two in the morning one night because my husband had to drive three hours in the middle of the night to be with his dad who had been in a motorcycle wreck and was in an emergency room in the next state. She stayed on the phone with me half the night talking about any random thing she could think of to keep me company, keep me distracted and keep me calm until we got word that my husband had made it to the hospital. I could never do enough to thank her for her friendship and words could never express how grateful I am to count her as a friend. I don't think you can factor into a friendship such things as how or where you met someone or even physical proximity. I know that without this person and her family my life wouldn't be as full and it is my privledge to count her as a friend. She has become the sister of my heart and I would do anything within my power to aid her in any endevour and would be there as fast as my car will drive if she ever had a need. I have found over the years that real friends the kind that will stick by you are next to impossible to come by.

yeah i to agree with you dear, people make tons of friends on net whom they havent meet even and they even know this that the possibility of meeting them is even the least, they even dont have so much time so just say hi to them but they are in there friend list just to show that they like making friends

if i am to count them , i have more online friends than offline friends but if i am to consider real friends, i have more real friends in the real world. i can't be a real friend in the virtual world for obvious reasons that i can't really socialize with them unlike in the real world , we see each other often . most of my real life friends are not my online friends.

i haave more online friends than reaal life friends.the reason is this, since thee world is a small community, making friends online helps you to get in touch with people from other parts of the world which ordinarilly you cannot get to.we share our dreams, hopes, fears and problems together and also profer solutions to them.above all, having online friends could be fun.

Well I have more on real life friends but I don't know if they are real or true friends because there are lot of situations that they weren't there for me and that sucks. Friends should help each other. I have online friends too in mylot and alot other sites.
