It seem to me that the majority of the folks this site prefer to have bird brain conversations. is that a fact or what? do thoughts go into these or what? do any one talk about anything of importance anymore? do you care whats going on around u or is american idol what matters in life. or is it football or the nba 4 u

While I am certain that there are lots of discussions that are mere fluff, there are still some discussions that are serious on here Maybe you just aren't looking hard enough, as they may be hidden by all the fluff written towards a younger audience.
Personally, I do care what's going on around me, but I don't care that much for anything that is going on outside of my personal space. That's the joy of getting older, you worry more about things that you can control and less about things that are completely out of your control

ur right i dont look so hard at all im quickly overwhelmed by the amount of garbage that grips american mind and then discouraged. u know u may not be able to controll everything but what on the earth cant at least be manipulated, or altered in some way, im just doing my part. let us make them aware of themselves. i hope your not under the impression that that which isnt in your personal space dont effect you because the list of that which do not is short.

At my age, it doesn't affect me to the point that I would worry about it. The stock market crashed? Well, there went my tax-sheltered annuity. It's sad, but I wasn't planning that money to survive anyway so why worry about it? Obama is the new President? So what. I've lived through every President since Truman, I'm sure I will live through this one too. See? It just doesn't concern me, Life goes on, and I follow whatever path I choose to follow

look at where that outlook on life has gotten the american people today.our ignorance of events and actions of others has lead us down this path. has the time to change our mind sets and order of importantance not yet come. my generation cant afford to simply let time go on without us aware of it or without our say. just because u went down a road it dont always mean u choose it. u have to go along with what presented to you, but if u truly had a choice what then, idk a lot of thing done differently i bet. mabe your hard earned everything is expendable which is fortunate indeed, unluckly we dont all have that same luxury, so we have to keep a close eye on what we have left, and teach our children the theives of today ware ties. u seem cool, though u take a rather passive stance. we cant hope things get better, and blotting it out of our minds is a option that no liberty lovin american should even consider. im sure the well being of your fellow countrymen,is not amongst that in which u simply turn a blind eye toward right?

Yeah, there can be a lot of bad discussions, but I just ignore them and post on the better ones usually. I do not post many discussions, unless I have something good to talk about, so if I am lucky I may do one a day, but I usually just do not post haha. I can understand how you feel though, perhaps I will not see you again.

There are loads of discussions here on mylot that are very interesting you just have to search for the right topic and what you're interested in responding. I guess people here uses their freedom of speech in whatever kind of conversation they want to talk about. I have encountered a series of good topics. I respond to most of them and even the one that are not that interesting. Just to get a conversation going.

Hell yeah, Sensei! Those of us who are "knowledgeable" got better things to spit knowledge on. You know what I'm talkin' bout.
