Among all inventions, which do you wish was never invented in the first place?

There are a lot of inventions which help our lives become faster and easier. But there are those which I wish were never invented. One of which would have been guns (gun powder), yes they're ideal for hunting (in those days) but we could have just done good if we stuck with the arrows. If you know what I mean? Another would be cigarettes. I just don't see a point in them. They cost a lot, people get addicted to the point of losing their limbs and legs and still they wouldn't stop. Lastly, I think television has just made us a little bit lazier (couch potatoes) and fatter (we'd settle for watching basketball or sports on t.v. rather than playing it). What do you think?

I'd say nukes...because I believe they go against the very opposite of why we are here on earth...

Everything that has been created has been created because we needed it. We should just learn to use them the way they are meant to be used.

I kinda like inventions and I marvel at the creative minds that do it all the time it seems to me. I have not thought about some really bad inventions. I suppose time will tell if it turns out to be really bad and people don't use it anymore. Cheers!!

Sorry, I love my television. But, I am not a couch potatoe yet, hahaha! Anyway I wish that certain computer games had never been invented. The ones with the wars and blood. The ones with bad influence on out children. Take care. Happy mylotting.

Yeah, you're right, video games has caused our kids to be lazy and just sit in front of them instead of going out playing like how things should be. Not to mention that they get the swearing and fighting from those. Tsk tsk, that's a billion dollar market we're talk about there.

Oh yeah, I think that's right too. It's even funny when they scream 'later! I'm playing basketball!' Oh, I mean come on! They're only exercising their fingers for crying out loud! Go out and play the real thing!

I think that right at the top of my list would be car alarms. I think they should be banned. They go off for no reason - usually when the car owners are away for the day, or even worse on holiday. You can set them off just by walking past them in a car park. Nobody takes any notice of them because everybody knows that they go off all the time. I feel really sorry for people with babies, who just got them off to sleep - then a car alarm goes off!

Oh yeah! tell me about it! We even uninstalled ours because it just goes off in the middle of the night because a cat walked by! Whew, so annoying, what's worst you get paranoid when it goes off.

The telephone. Even as a teenager, I never liked to hang on the phone although I have always seemed to attract the kind of people who do. (Maybe everybody does but me) Basically, I just let it ring and don't pay it any mind and I much prefer email.

Other than things like ciggarettes and alchol, which can be really bad for ppl who can't control themselves, I think everything else is allright. It's true that tv made us lazier and fatter, but thats the ppl's fault more than the tv...or pc for that matter. It's all about moderation. Too many ppl get used to using this stuff and stop doing for themselves. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Hahahaha.. Well, why don't you just wear the jelly type where they just cover the nipples. It may look proper with a bra, but thick shirts and dark ones can cover you not wearing any.

Money. I know we need currency and it keeps things in order and makes it easier to do business with one another. But if it were not for money a lot of violence that goes on in the world and just in our neighborhood would be for naught. If there were just common trading amongst the people that would be great. I may be VERY old fashioned, archaic or even stone age in this thinking but I really do loathe money and all that it stands for. It just is such a corrupt thing, and I never thought a piece of paper could cause so much turmoil!

Oh I feel your sentiments exactly, I've also been thinking about it for the last few years now and had been openly saying to others that we should have gone back to the days when there were barter around, it would have even been better if there are no currencies or exchange rates. I mean, I'll give you my pig for your goat, now that would just be dandy. But as I was trying to figure it out, I was at a brink of laughter to the thought that my dad would have to be bringing a lot of animals at home when the day is over since he'd see so many people exchanging him animals for his medical attention. hahahaha..
