I usually use an oil spray, don't like using butter.

I use oilspray to pan before cooking. As our family has a history of high cholestrol I mostly avoid adding butter.

I actually use margarine, but I am trying to get away from that, as it is not healthy.

I like using oil spays. They are a little healthier (because you use less) and much more conveinent. I also have found one by Bakers Secret for baking. It has the oil and flour right in it. Very handy

For me it depends on what I'm cooking. I think somethings just taste better if they are cooked in butter. Onions for example I think they tasted better sauted in butter. I use the spray for eggs and I LOVE the sprays they have now for baking. It works so much better than greasing and flouring, which when I do it is so messy.

For me, it depends more on what I'm cooking as opposed to convenience. It also depends on who I'm cooking for too, like when my Dad had to watch his intake of butters etc. (dietary restrictions.) Just me, but I don't like to buy any food product that comes in an aerosol spray form lol.
