My friends are so fond of Horror movies. Just a while ago we had a marathon and I cannot sleep I feel that the monsters are in front of me if I close my eyes. It kept me awake the whole night. I find it scary but it`s fun to look at them. I find it very excited and fast heart beating whenever I see a scene where the horror appears. Do you like these kind of movies?

I love horror movies. Especially ones that are from Japan. They are so creepy and awesome. Makes my hubby mad though because he has to read the subtitles. LOL. Some of the ones from Japan though make me so scared that I look over my shoulder for a couple of days.

LOL. Same here. Those movies scare the hell out of me, because I am in Tokyo and I can understand them and I can relate to the environment. You know why Japanese movies are like that? Because everything is physically silent here like what is in the movies. Except of course to the places where there are many discos and places where many foreigners are. But in places like residence area or parks or rural ones it's really silent and Japanese people are silent and peaceful types. So the horror is more psychotic.

resident evil is really nice its because there's a hero on it. I like resident evil more than some non-horror movies. Finish it, it even has new part coming in Part 4 i guess. It's addicting that is why maybe it is very popular in so many countries. I like the actors as well. If you learn the reason why zombies are there you would get addicted to it. Resident Evil and Underworld are kind of movies that are worth watching.

do yo like western horror? I like resident evil it`s mixed actually of horror, action and suspense. I hate it when it`s too violent movie as well like using of a lot of knives and other sadistic weapons.

well, i like to wach horror movies with someone, in special, with girls. I love to do something that will make them to be scared, just on the right moments.. it`s quite a cute moment when a girl squize you when she`s scared..or hugs you and keeps you there... you know the feeling.. once, i wached a movie alone, and i couldn`t go till the bathroom until i turned on all the lights from bedroom to bathroom.

I like watching horrifying movies but it also affect your subconscious mind. The more you watch these type of movies, the more you are prone to depression, fear, and many negative psychological aspect of your mind. But for me, I little dose of these type of movies in a month is enough for me to balance my psycho health. Don't close your eyes, you will miss the best part. ü

Will horror movies balance the mental health? In what way? Never heard of it actually. But it's fun to know horror can be healthy.

Yes, it can somehow, I heard it from a TV show (I forgot where)ü. At least it will let you become concious sometimes about negative emotions, like fear, not just all happy and lucky. Be open to anything, not all things in life are all nice. let's enjoy watching horror movies, popcorn? I like popcorn.ü

I think it's because you are too focused on it, makes ur sub-conscious replay it in your brain. I think it's not good to always watch it though. But I still like a few horror movies those quality ones like resident evil.

I don't like horror movies. I have a hard enough time sleeping at night without watching those types of movies. The last thing I need is visions of those movie scenes in my mind when I try to go to bed. I have enjoyed watching some of the horror movies, especially a few about vampires and werewolves, but most of the horror movies today are nothing but crap anyway. Most of the ones that are being made these days are so focused on graphic blood and guts and grossness that they hardly seem to have a plot. Some of the others, such as FRIDAY THE 13TH, or NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, are just plain dumb, so I don't waste my time watching them. I would much rather watch a good mystery or action movie. I also like a good comedy now and then...

hahaha I am with you when you said modern horror movies are quite different and dumb. I like vampire horrors but i think the zombies are becoming popular today. It is because most zombies movies portray that advancement or new discovered medicines made people become zombies or infect with virus. Vampires do not exist anymore. And people are not afraid of them because you can kill them with sunlight. But zombies are there night and day

I do like horror movies! I like watching movies with someone. I don't really watch movies much in theaters unless I'm out with someone. I can't even remember the last I've gone out to see a movie. Well, whatever horror movies, with someone or without, I still like it! I like best about zombies!

I tried watching it alone, i couldn't get off to get something to drink or eat. But watching it with some or friends make it fun and less horrific. But for new love birds it can be fun and romantic as well. You know what I am saying?

Yup, it's one of my favorite genres. I prefer the supernatural and the psycho-chillers rather than the monsters and aliens type.

Muting a horror movie is funny. LOL I mean the music or background sound adds to the freaking effects and without it the monster just look like a dull monster.

I wonder how you can get thrilled reading horror? Imagination is it? Well, I don't like to read actually horror or non horror. I am more of a visual person and watching horror movies just make me shout and tensed. There's a point that I feel that it's good coz I can absorb energy but sometimes it's bad coz it makes you fear something non-existent.

I absolutely LOVE horror movies..its my all time fav type of movie with psychological thrillers coming in a close second....gory, scary movies, horror movies etc dont "scare" me though...I don't lay awake at night unable to sleep because I've seen a horror flick..in fact I find them quite funny really but I'm just sick and twisted like that LOL

Same here, LOL. I can`t ever imagine that you can become crazily overthinking the scenes as after effect. I`m pretty sure it`s quite different with love stories or other kind of movies where you would just smile and have a little tingles. But horror movies it can be there in your brain repeating over and over again in days or even months. I like Japanese and chinese horror, maybe because I am in Asia I can relate pretty much.

American horror is more psi-fi and more violent, more killings. I mean most of the horror movies are killings and ugly faces but the movies from the west are just violent like Texas Chainsaw, Meat Train and many more. I think the horror varies which country you are. I love Japanese movies they are very terrifying. Have you watched Japanese horrors?
@gracemanotoc (641)

When you watch those old movies again now, you wouldn`t find it scary at all. They become comedy for you already maybe except for vampire movies. I like vampire movies but lately it`s more violent horror that is coming out or zombies and virus outbreak that caused people to become zombies.

Heck no!
But just for a girl I used to have a huge crush on back around 1991--I took her out to see "Body Parts"--she seemed to enjoy screaming at it.
Me, I never was into all of that blood and gore and stuff.
When we are young and really into somebody, we can do some crazy stuff.
Angus--grateful that his current Mrs. isn't into Harry Potter, and other horror movies.

LOL, i think it`s sweet that you would just do such think because you are trying to impress a girl especially doing something that you are not really fond of. I love Harry Potter if you get familiar or look at the first part you would grow addicted to it.hehehe. It`s good for teens and early 20`s who find adventure movies fun. By the way, I really think you love your wife very much. Happy to hear it :-)

I used to LOVE horror movies and watch them all pretty much, but then i found that i wasnt getting the thrill that i used to. Im starting to think that the teen slasher movies are more predictable everytime. I duno if im just hard to please though! hehe.
But if i find a good horror, its definately great, im the same as you, some things scar me a little and i find myself being a lot more scared sometimes than i planned.
Its definately a good idea for a girls night or even a couples night. I wouldnt recommend them while house-sitting on your own however tee hee

Girl`s night out is definitely what happen over the weekend for me. I wasn`t enjoying this kind of movie till one of my friend one to try the horror movie The Grudge, then The Ring and then The Eye, it was even more horrific since we are in Japan and we can relate too the scenario of these movies like the kind of houses, tools they use and the surroundings that is why it more scary. Japanese horror makes me crazy. We were looking at Meat Train and Qurantine we can`t stop shouting. But this movies are not good for children, they would learn how to fear something that does not exist.

in your movie place are there many people asking for horror movies or lesser than other kinds of movies. Like the rate of people paying for what kind of movies. I bet there are a lot of people who are not into horror as well.
