This idea popped in my head after I listened to Rihanna's Take A Bow. The song is cool, very sarcastic indeed, perfect for those who had been cheated.
Anyway guys, personally, what do you think is the best break-up song ever made? There's this song called I Love You, Goodbye and it's a really sad one. That's a good breakup song too.

break-up song? well so far the best i ever heard in the new era music is beyonce's to the left to the left..... everything you own is i nthe box to the left. 
IRREPLACEABLE. first i thought it was a song of a person so inlove that the person she has in a relation was irrepalceable. but i was wrong. it wasa song of break-up and telling the guy that he was a total looser. for me it is a kick as* song

nah, I'm not familiar with the song. But, I do like The Corrs. I might check that out, looks like a cool song and it's funny that you have a song for your husband like that, lol, but the lyrics suits him well.

I haven't ever been a fan of the break up song... but I have witnessed people go through a break up and glom onto a song to help them through. My roomate in college listened to "Everybody Hurts" constantly for an entire semester.
I knew a guy that really liked to listen to Bloodhound Gangs "Aint My Job to F#*$ You on Your Birthday" after his girlfriend cheated on him. Its kind of a vulgar song but some of the lyrics are kind of funny:
"I'm missing you like a hijacked flight on september 11th
I don't know who got on you but i'm not wrong in thanking them"

I'm not quite familiar with the song 'cause I don't listen to Bloodhound Gangs at all but yeah, the title and the lyrics are a bit funny. As for your roommate, I guess it's just normal, you know, listening to a song over and over for weeks or even months, I do it too, lol.

The originally was actually sung by Celine Dion. But, there have been several revivals. My favorite was the one sung by one of the local artists here, Nina. I love the lyrics of the song. It's sweet but sad. Hope you'll like it, too.

ya my all time favourite break up song is from the album back street boys and the song is SHOW ME THE MEANING OF BEING LONELY i love it so much so that it plays all they way and all the time in my pc and music system

hi dutchess...one song that I could think of is 'there's no easy way' by james ingram.it's quite an old song.i wouldn't think of it as the best break-up song though.there are others like 'life goes on' by leann rimes,'take a bow' one by rihanna and the other one by madonna.
oh yeah,'i love you,goodbye' is definitely another sad song.

hmmm. If the person is still in love with the other then maybe "The Art of Letting Go" by Mikaila is a good one.. though this song will make you cry buckets of tears... I did once when I thought My bf and I will break it off (though no cheating involved just a no time and busy kind of issue)
But a good song that can lift a girl's spirit up is "I will Learn to Love Again" by Kaci Brown... It's a song you'll like to dance to. It's simple but it can help a bit... ^_^

I have this crazy brother. When my husband & I broke up I went to stay with him and my other brother while looking for an apt. I was laying in bed one morning and I heard him say to my other brother...we need to do something to cheer sid up. My more level brother said...I talk to her all the time...she is fine. My other brother then says....I know just the thing. then silence. I almost didn't want to get up. Curiosity got me. I got up and there he was waiting for me with a cup of coffee and a CD of "break-up music". I had to sit there and listen to the whole darn thing. IT did get me cheered as I just wanted to get in the shower and he wouldn't let me up until I listened to it all. I got the giggles because it was all so silly. Breakup music tends to be sad but it can cheer you if presented in the right way.

I like Ne-Yo's songs. He always have breakup songs like what you said, Go On Girl and his first single So Sick is also about breakup and now, his latest is Mad, about couples fighting. I love those songs though 'cause he sings very well.

I think one of the best break up songs, ever, is Against All Odds, originally by Phil Collins but I have covers by Mariah Carey, Gavin DeGraw and The Postal Service.

The best break up song ever for me is the song "Fight is Over"
Here sre the few lines.
