Dear mylotters, which do you find harder? to creat a new topic or to respond to any discussion?
I know many people are mincing their mind to think of something special, eyecatching, while this is easier for me. And I often forget many new ideas before I write them down here. And responding to some discussions seems a little troublesome due to cultural difference and language barrier.

Finding a new topic is a lot harder for me!
It takes me a very long time to think of a discussion that can relate to the majority of myLot's users and that I think will get a lot of responses. What makes it harder is that many good ideas have been used hundreds of times already so even if I do think of something, chances are that it has been used already and that it won't be very original. Originality is something I like, because I know that I myself find it annoying to respond to a discussion that has been circulating for months and has just been remade by different members - I can think of a couple of those right now. =P
I don't have a problem with thinking of responses because, if I can relate to them, I can usually form or already have an opinion about it and I just need to express it without thinking of any new things.
I struggle a lot with discussion ideas!

I find neither as hard. But it doesn't matter because in many discussions I had started, there were a good 25% that had ZERO responses. There are another 20% that had just one response. Like wise there were another 20% that had 3 to 4 responses. It doesn't deter me to post new discussions. To post new discussions or to answer those others post my criteria are same. The subject must interest me, in the sense that I must have something to say on that, then I respond.
But I do say that replying to discussions are a lot easier, because you need not bother whether somebody will be interested in what you have to say, if they are interested they will respond otherwise it will stay there, till someone for whom that idea appeals finds it. So, in every way you have done your best. So, we can always move on!

Right now, I am having a hard time of looking a very interesting topic for me to respond. Most of the topics does not interest me. Maybe because I have answered related topics that is why I lose interest on responding to the topics. I would like to see a topic that can make me post at least 5 lines so that has to interesting. It is taking too much time to look for really interesting topic now.

I find it lots easier to reply to discussions. I don't know why, but it moves faster for me and is more enjoyable. Additionally there is no good reason to start a discussion. It isn't worth more then a response and you don't earn more from having a lot of responses. With that in mind, I just go with what is easier.

Lately I have a hard time thinking for new topics that I can use of or start. Nowadays I find my self more on replying to other people's discussion where I can share my thoughts and experience or my take regarding the topic. I guess I am just losing touched on the new topics to start on. LOL. I remember when I just started mylot I can think of a minimum of 5 topics a day but lately it is a scarce.

I find both the tasks equally hard.It takes a long time to find a topic where i have something to say and post. But finding a topic of discussion is even harder. I really have to rake my brains to think of a suitable topic that would generate interest ! real hard task that is ...

It all depends. For some discussions, I have ready answer from my knowledge or experience, but not always, limited by my exposure, I am at a loss in finding the right words, actually mainly because of ignorance in the special area. Especially with discussions raised by young people, I will not bother myself with the late digital developments, as I do not want to spoil the discussion with my participation.
I never sit, scratching my mind to seek for a new topic. It is only when I come across an idea that I shift to new starts.

The only thing that is hard to me about starting a discussion is as you stated remembering what it is that you thought of writing about, that happened to me a couple of times. Responding to discussions is easy, I usually only respond to discussions that I can relate to so it's pretty easy coming up with a respond but if its a lot of typing it my be a different story as far as time goes.

In my opinion, finding a new topic is much more difficult. As there are already quite a lot of different topics in Mylot. It's too difficult to think out an unique discussion. This is why I respond to others' discussions much more.

I think both is hard for me. Sometimes yuo can find some eyecatching topics you want to reply but sometimes you cannot find some that you even want to drop few lines.

i think to start a new topic is more difficult because you think a lot to get a topic that can actually engage a lot of peope into discussion while when you respond you just have to give your vciew point eitheryou are in favour of that or you are not thats it......

I think creating a new topic is harder than responding to any discussions because I have to make sure that the topic I posted is something that could catch everyone's attention. While on the other hand, responding to the discussions does not need any mind-boggling exercises (well, of course it still does but not as intense as the first).

Dear Tudors ... for me , create a new topic to discussion are very harder more than a respons.Create a new topic must think 'what" " how" ... ect .and respons is more easy than that.
