Start a discussion, or just discuss?

What do you do more often?Start one or simply just answer the ones that already exist?I heard that starting discussion would earn you stars...is it true?i see people with stars but i still haven't any.My guess is since i discuss a lot and don't start many discussions,all i have to do is start more discussions...

I think I respond more to discussions then start my own. But I do make it a point to start like, one discussion a day.

Starting a discussion or discussions will not earn you stars. Stars are based on how others rated you...either your responses or your discussions. That being said, I start very few discussions, I tend to reply to others discussions much more than starting my own. I may start one or two a week, but I try to reply to 25 a day, at least.
