Reaction when your computer is very slow?

I get a lot of angry when it suddenly runs slowly. It gets slow for me when i open a lot of tabs in firefox, and it continues even after i close the tabs most of the times. So i will have to restart firefox to bring it back to normal. There was problem in that too, when i close firefox the window closes but it still runs in taskmanager, so i will have to end the process there too. If your computer is slow most of the times try clearing temporary files and also increase the virtual memory in your computer. Doing these two will help you. Have a nice day

When the computer runs slow.I too feel like kicking the computer.Its a natural tendency for everyone to get irritated fast.But we shouldn't do it as we may spoil the system then we cannot do any work.We can call the helpdesk people and enquire about the problem.They will have solutions to make the computer work fast.

fortunately I used Deepfreeze program, hence when my computer slowdown causing by virus or automatical update program, I just shut down it and then turn on again. Usually this ways helped enough

Never mind.When you computer was very slow,you would better do nothing on you computer.Drinking and resting was a good choice for you.When you want your computer fast, you must be very angry and type your keyboard or drag your Mouse continuously. And the computer will become slower and slower.Finally,computer will be on-strike.So,the data maybe lost and you have to do the same work again,but it spend your double time and double spirit. When my computer was slow,and I think that what a good chance to let me have a rest,drinking,relaxing my body!

First I beg it to run fast and then after sometime I kick the CPU. Kicking it helps sometimes.

Yes it's kinda feel stressful if ur computer is going very slow sometimes i want to throw it outside the window and buy a new one..ahaha but i guess cant afford one.. XD

I will get irritation when my computer is slow but it is computer with lot of programmes running internally in it what we can do just wait for the computer to get fast.

Hi ranviruchauhan, If this happens with my pc, I normally run CCleaner which removes unnecessary files also I clear my private data and cache.

i get very anxious when my computer runs slow.i like to finish work with high efficiency and speed.it is a tortue for me to wait for the word or excel to open. in most cases,i keep only the important procedures running when i am working.i give up setting up entertainment softwares.by doing this,computer can run more fast.

here goes: What would you do if you got stuck with a bajaj right in front of your car or angkot which suddenly stopped to pick up passengers? hit them or shout at them.. let out the steam... hehehe .... computer wise.. do the same thing

I work in a store where we're totally dependent on our computers (and our internet connection) working correctly. We wait on customers through our computer, and if our computers aren't working, we can't process anyones orders or charge them for their things. So, it's hard to have a computer that's not working, especially when you depend on that computer to do it's job. I usually just call Qwest, our provider, and have them give me advice. In most cases, I'll try to get a "manual" form of payment from a customer and do the computer work later - but that doesn't always work. Sometimes they just have to come back later, which is unfortunate (especially in a time where having actual business is rare enough as it is!) When my computer is slow at home, I usually just abandon it - by rebooting it and coming back to it later. :( I feel frustrated, because I LOVE my computer and my internet. I'd be lost without it!

I like to throw it out.But i can not as this the matter of money. In that situation, i will see the task manager for unwanted process if any. Then i will uninstall some rarely used software. Then scanning with anti virus software.Then I will try for system restoring. Still if it is not working fast, finally format the system and reinstalling the OS. The main thing i used to follow, is that i will take the back up of important documents then and there.After some days as usual the system become slow. Again same processes. (I will format the system once in a month). But if the computer is in office, we can not to as we like.Only way is to call the system admin, complain and if he is innocent we can fight with him.

When my computer starts to run slow, I don't really get angry. What's the point? I just figure what it making it go so slow and fix it. However, that may be because I am a computer programmer and do regular maintenance on my computer anyway. I always try to make sure that I don't have too many items on the computer and I regularly do a disk cleanup and a defrag, which makes my computer run a lot better.

my first instinct is to hit it with a wrench but i usually just try to open the task manager which makes it even slower but i have learned to just leave it til it works and if nothing happens in half an hour i restart it.

I understand your feeling as i feel the same as you too. Sometimes my laptop runs really slow because it is only celeron. Then i will get angry and very impatient, i will make some noises by hitting the table and so forth. And I wish i can have a better laptop!!!!

i just do remove my cabinet and make it cool quickly under ac when my system is slow as my computer seems to be on all the day it become heated and i feel like kicking it off and getting of with some other work or try restarting it when i am in a urgent mood
