Newspapers ofcourse have a wide coverage of things taking place and of the latest developments. I suppose readers have their preferences. I myself don't really read all the sections every morning. Time doesn't permit. Well, for me, since I am a business man, I do not want to miss reading the Besiness Section to keep myself updated with the developments in the business world, nationally and internationally. How about you ? Which section of the newspaper do you like reading ?

When I had the paper it was the sports page, especially during the hockey playoffs. I need to know who is in the 8th and 9th seat. The second section was the coupons insert.

There are three sections I like to read most in my local newspaper. The first is the front page which provide the headline news events. Next is the Sports Page, because I am an ardent sports fan. Next to the Sports Page is the Business News which is usually at the end of the paper. I do try and keep in touch with news about some of the good companies listed on the stock exchange because I invest my money in them.

Here's how I read the paper. That is, if I have time to sit and read the entire thing, which is very rare. I start by skimming the front section (news) and reading whatever stories interest me. I skip the sports section alltogether and set it aside. Then I look through the other sections...business, lifestyles...I read anything there that I find interesting. Last, I go to the comics, read them, then start working on the crossword. (My favorite part). If I get stuck on the crossword or finish it then I do the work jumble. I don't ever do the soduku. I don't like it. Sometimes I like the cryptoqoutes. They're really hard though.

I usually read the headline news first then the local news. I am keen on checking which news is possibly affecting me or my family like increases in the price of petrol and basic commodities such as rice, sugar, milk and the like. It is because news tend such as these will have impact on our spendings and daily living of course. Afterwhich I read article on lifestyle like food and travel; as well as articles on technologies. This will make me updated on what's the latest among tech gadgets.

Ugandan newspapers are crap, so I read most of my papers on the net, esp the Washington Post, Newyork Time, Time Magazine and The Economist. I usually start with the headlines, and then business and economics (am an economics and accounting student) and then my favourite, arts and style. Sports, I usually log into the bbc website coz Americans rarely have football(soccer) news. Ugandan papers, well, there are some good columnists I try to read, and whatever is hot in the news. Otherwise, they are trash.

if I have the time, I read all the sections of the newspaper but if not, I just go over the headlines then go to the business section and the lifestyle. During Saturdays and Sundays, I read all the sections of the newspaper because I have a whole day to read it.

I usually just read the headlines as i dont have time for anything else. Its only on weekends that i get to read the entire newspaper, and at that time, im usually lazy to do so. I often check out forbes.com for thelatest international new s though, and its pretty much better than reading local news. Happy mylotting

I'm not a fan of reading newspapers, but when I do, I check first the comics section then the celebrity section, then the headlines... :)

Headlines first, then Local news, and finally we (the 9 yr old and I) read the comics. Once a week there is a youngster paper that has history, important events, and fun stuff for the kids. We save those and re-use them. I keep a bit of an eye on the business pages if I know there will be car industry news because of my husbands job, but other wise I try not to look to close.

I'm surprized by all the responses. Most people I know get their news from television or online. In the past, when I used to help kill trees by reading hardcopy newspapers, I used to read it 'cover-to-cover'.

At first the headline , if that news seems to be very interesting to me then i read that thoroughly . I read the topics of business world page also. Here one supplementary paper is supplied everyday where i find the most interesting game "sudoku" among many number games, i do that regularly, after that i read the page 3, its all about gossips. Everyday wednesday one extra supplementary paper is supplied called "ascent" which is related to jobs and career, i read that paper a to z. Thats all about my newspaper reading.
