TLChimes Hmmm.... As hard as it was for him to face what he did, it sounds like he may be better off for it. Looking at what happened to his sister and how his mom is, he may not have turned out so well if she had kept him.

TLChimes No, it doesn't have to be friends but God is a good friend to have. You're right, it is a strange answer but after thinking about it a bit I could see the truth of it, the way you could find comfort there.

TLChimes @savak03 I do have a few very clear memories that are tied to joy but I don't think our joys are as so unexpected or as HUGE as those traumatic moments so they have a harder impact. Because schools are not always the smartest places.
