I like to read books about business, management, personal finance and real estate investment. Reading books helps a lot to open my mind to new knowledge and it helps me to discover the difference between my reality and others reality.
For example, I read Rich Dad series of books. I am open to new ways to control my personal finance, learn about cash flow, learn about business and so on. Reading books opens my mind to all possibility in life.
Another great book is "The Secret". It is truly a great book to share a great secret that we all should know.
Do you think that reading helps you improve your context?

I do read but not the kind of books you like. I like fiction but the genre is giving me an idea what it’s like… I like to John Grisham’s books. He taught me or I’ve learned a lot of legal terms by reading his books. My favorite spy novelist is Robert Ludlum and he taught me how things work with authorities. I have read a lot of fictions in different genre and it’s giving me something to learn about.

The first and the foremost reading does to you is increase your power of expression verbally as well as in writing. You are able to give words to your ideas and thoughts and thereby ease yourself mentally without realising the enormity of it.I mean the positive enormity of it.I have ahabit of reading books, newspapers, journals and watching engaging discussions on TV.All these tools help me in expanding my vocabulary which in turn enhances my ability to express. You are absolutely right in saying that books are a powerhouse of knowledge.

I agree that reading helps us to improve our context. Reading, in fact, helps in different ways. I can't remember now, but someone famous says that if one wants to change read a book. I think that is so true.

I haven't been reading lots of books lately. I have read only a few and it's worth the time reading. i am more inclined now on reading magazines which admittedly are more entertaining. I have browsed that Rich Dad book in one of my visits to a bookstore and I love it. i might as well get a copy of it one of these days.

I do believe that it can open our minds to so many different things, whether it be simply a novel, or a text book for a business course. I think that one important thing of life is really to learn something everyday, whether it be about yourself or something else completely. And I believe that books are one method, which allows us to learn and grow everyday.

I do agree with you that reading would make you more knowledgeable about the things in many areas. Good for you, you have lots of time to read. Me? I've no more time to read a lot of books. I love reading but my time is eat up by my online work.
Good luck to you.

Reading does help to open up the mind, depending on our attitude and way of thinking. For example people who are fixed in their narrow way of thinking will never understand what is written about something which they are prejudicial about. People with open minds, of which there are not many, read with open hearts and are prepared to see other people's view points.
Reading does help me to know and understand better about many things in life. I prefer reading for knowledge, instead of purely on trivial matters.
all the best in your readings,
rosdimy

I love to read and I read many different kinds if books. It is a great way get new knowledge about a topic, and I have learned a lot from the books that I have read. I like to read about psychology, psychiatry, children, the mentally disabled, history, religions, legends, art, new age and other things. When I am at the library it is always hard for me to decide which books to borrow, because I am interested in so many different topics, and I tend to borrow more books than I can read
I know "The secret", I bought it a while about and I think that it is a great book. I have read it once, but I plan one reading it again in the future.
