Funny...I haven't thought about that novel in years. I absolutely HATED "Fahrenheight 451". It was the worst book. Another one I had a hard time getting through was "The Hobbit". I just didn't like it at all. (I know alot of you will dislike me for that comment. Sorry.) The third book that was a nightmare to me was "Animal Farm". I got all the symbolism, but the book to me just wasn't interesting.

I agree about the Hobbit and animal farm bit, actually! The Hobbit was just plain disappointing. I mean, you follow the hero through more than half the book as he quests to slay the dragon!! ...and then some other person goes and does it. And there's a whopping one paragraph about it. It was annoying. -_-
But wow, really? So many people dislike Farenheight 451? This is making me want to re-read it. I read it when I was pretty young.

House of the Seven Gables by Nathaniel Hawthorne. It ought to be banned for insipidness. Blechhhh. Uggghhhh. What a waste of time. Do not read it. And if you are assigned to read it in school, get the Cliff Notes. (I'm an English Major and I hated this book)

Oh, I loved Farenheit 451! But I'm a Ray Bradbury fan.
The worst book I've ever read... there were two. Jude the Obscure (as my AP English teacher put it: "It's a typical story. Boy meets girl. Girl hits boy with a piece of pig"). And Things fall apart by chinwae achebe (I can't spell that name). Not surprisingly, they were both for school.
