There are so many cool, uplifting, deep, etc. quotes out there. What is your favorite and why? Here are some of my faves: "I think therefore I am." ;"This too shall pass.";
"An optimist is a person who sees a green light everywhere, while a pessimist sees only the red stoplight. . . The truly wise person is colorblind."; "Happiness? That's nothing more than a good health and a poor memory."
I like these quotes that I have listed because they really make me think and I think that they are true.

one of the best quotes that i always carry in my heart are:
pray until something happens
and
do unto others what you want others to do unto you.
simple quotes yet the very definition of hope and how you treat the people around you.
nice discussion, sketch. cheers! =)

I have always been a fan of quotations and used to have many of them printedd off and stuck all over my wall when I was younger. My favourite one of all though was said by a man named Frank Moore Colby:
"A lopsided man runs fastest up the little sidehills of success!"
I have always loved this quote because for me it reflects that being a little left of centre and thinking outside the box, rather than following the norms in life will actually hold us in good stead!

my fave is behind the Clouds lies a silver lining. Just like saying, After some hardships you find success...It implies there's always hope. It's quite encouraging to hear to just go on and you'll be reaping rewards after.

Okay so I like this one because it is funny! Not necessarily true:
You Cry, I cry
You laugh, I laugh
You jump off a bridge, I laugh even harder
hahaha

These are my favorite:
"The man who follows the crowd will get no farther than the crowd. A man who walks alone is likely to get places no one has ever been before"
"No really great man ever thought himself so."
"They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. I like to break windows and take what's inside."
"When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story."
"This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time."

"Trials exist because we need to learn one thing - "FAITH"
I like that a lot. Especially when I am facing a lot of problems that I almost wanted to sleep and not to wake up anymore. It inspire me to go on. And let my faith leads me to where I should be.

Here are some new quotes for you:
"Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs will just have to get used to it!"
I'd have to say that is one of my favorites! LOL!
Here's one I made up:
"Cats Hug By Purring."
"Just Do It" is another favorite of mine. Instead of spending time thinking of all the reasons that you might not be able to do it go ahead and...........Just Do It!
Purrs,
Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Aahhh. There are a few!
1) Pain is inevitable, misery is optional.
2) The difference between a religious man and a spiritual man is that a religious man does not want to go to hell, but a spiritual man has been to hell and does not want to go back.
3) When you have walked in the light as far as you can go, and your next step is into the darkness, one of two things will happen. You will either step on solid ground or you will learn to fly.
4) Love does not dominate. Love cultivates.
5) Success is failure turned inside out.
6) I never regretted anything I never said.
7) Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
8) The grass is greener on the other side, but it's just as hard to mow.
9) The only thing new in this world is the history you don't know.
10) I am thankful for humility. For remembering that I'm somebody when I think I'm nobody, and for remembering that I am nobody when I think I'm somebody.
11) A frown is a smile turned upside down.
A couple of these are sort of long, but there are thought provoking messages behind them.

I don't know if these are mere qoutations or sayings or some motto in life but I really like them as I believe I can relate on them in a real-life situation in some aspects in life. For friendship I like best this one: DON'T WALK AHEAD OF ME I MIGHT NOT FOLLOW YOU, NOR WALK BEHIND ME I MAY NOT LEAD YOU, BUT WALK BESIDE ME AND JUST BE MY FRIEND. For guidance: God grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change, COURAGE to change the things I can, and WISDOM to know the difference. For consequences: WHAT YOU REAP IS WHAT YOU SOW.

I really like "The only way out is through" and "Failure is not the worst thing in the world. The very worst is not to try."
I taught my little girl the first quote, she's 7 and I had to smile when I heard her repeating it to herself when she was faced with the daunting task of cleaning up her playroom.
The second quote has kept me motivated to keep sending my articles to editors until I eventually got paid.

These are very inspiring quotes, and the responders are adding equally meaningful quotes, which are so impressive for me. We need to build sense of humor as part of personality traits, and have the enthusiasm to spread joy.

"No mind to those who talk behind you, it simply means you are two steps ahead" This is my favorite quote. I am an extrovert person i can easily mingle with people. To m friendship is very important thing. But from school days i have felt one thing that most of my mates enjoy to discus about me. I used to be the topic of discussions. Don't know why .. I used to be the topper of my college not only that i was very active sports person in my school days , teachers loved me a lot, they used to mention my name to my juniors to encourage them etc. But those fellows always backbit. I told my close ones about this and kept asking them "why they are doing all these?" But finally i got my answer from the above quote. :)

Well i always love reading books, fiction works especially. I like my mind getting to wander to a faraway land and think of heroes, awesome characters and stuffs whenever i read novels. At some point, i even get into a notion of writing my own book. One time, i stumbled upon this quote in a particular website dedicated to writers:
"If there's a book you really want to read but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it."
-Tony Morisson.
That served an inspiration for me. Maybe, I'll consider writing one.
