Yes...I take lithium. I am bipolar that is the reason I take it. I took it for several years, then the doctors switched me to Lamictal. That didn't work, so now I am back on Lithium temporarily while they are figuring out what to try me on next. I take 900 mg a day. Are you on it? It can make you feel lethargic, but I have found that taking a B-complex vitamin and iron helps with that somewhat. If I can help or anything, let me know.

I have manic bi-polar and I also took Lamictal. Lithium is okay (I'm taking 900mg too), but it makes my hair fall out. Not a lot, but I've noticed that my hair is thinning. Thanks for the answer!!!

Yes...I have that side effect also. I am bipolar 2...depressed one. Lamictal usually works better for #2's. I wish they'd get this medication thing right. I seriously wonder if any of the doctor's really know what they are doing. Wonder if that is why they call it "practicing medicine." LOL Have a good one.
