I am frustrated by the ridiculousness of Obama putting this off. For one thing, look at all the money that has been spent and lost in getting ready for this month's change. To prolong this inevitable change will only cost more money. Not to mention look at all the channels that are not going to follow the change in date. He is worried about the poor not getting ready in time. (Or so he says) But think about it, if they couldn't afford to be ready in the past what? year? than how in the world are they going to be able to do it in the next 3-4 months. We will just be in the same position.

I think it's a good thing. The only thing is, I think they should make cable TV available to everyone. I have stellite and I'm fine with it but cable is not even available to me if I did want it. Personally I like satellite better but I still think cable should be availabl to those who prefer it. On thing I did find interesting was th amount of people still using analog TV. I am in a rural area myself but I didn't realize that some have no other options.

I believe that both Congress and the Senate passed the bill to extend the deadline for 3 or 4 more months. But to answer your question I think it is good. It will save the Television stations money on electricity and operating costs. We benefit by a clearer and more precise picture.
I do not agree with the postponement. We had 2 years to prepare for this. That is plenty of time to get a converter or upgrade to a HD tv. I feel sorry for the stations who were all ready to switch over and now this announcement that there is a postponement. Geesh.
Doesn't affect me...I have satellite tv, the only service available in my rural area.
