They have been making a lot of changes to EBay and I really dont like them. So I dont even shop on EBay anymore. One thing I dont like is they will not accept money orders anymore. I also dont like the lay out. I liked the way the site used to be. Doesn'T seem very fun anymore. Do you still use EBay?

I don't use eBay as much as I use to but that's because I haven't felt the need to buy anything recently. I sell on eBay too but I haven't been selling recently either, that's because I've ran out of things to sell lol.
I don't like some of eBays changes, such as removing the ability for sellers to leave positive or neutral feedback to buyers. This was an extremely stupid move by eBay!

As do I, buyers and sellers should be treated 50/50, not 70/30. Sellers are treated unfairly....

I know a lot of sellers are not pleased with that new rule. I wish they would just revert back to the way it was.

I believe greed is now ruling eBay and that they have forgot their humble beginnings when it was the small mom and pop stores and when the auction sellers really made eBay what eBay was. eBay no longer caters to the small sellers. This is evident by many facts, some being the new rule of no paper money; the new "unfair" feedback system; squeezing out the small sellers in favor of the larger "department" store type sellers. I feel that Meg Whitman stepped down just in time as I think eBay is going down the drain, so to speak. I think eBay will eventually become stores only, like a giant online mall. It is really a shame that they have done this. Sites like www.powersellersunite.com , show just how unsatisfied people are with eBay. There are so many new auction sites popping up trying to get their foot in a door that is closing.

I haven't been on ebay in such a long time, the last time I got on, they changed it and it just isn't for me. I hate the new changes. Why do they have to make things so complicated? They wait for people to get used to using the website and then they change it around on us. 2 thumbs down for them. Great discussion by the way... And happy mylotting

Yes I totally agree with you - I do not like the changes on ebay. If the stuff was not broke why did they try to fix it?? I hate the stuff , but right now it is the only money I have coming in.

hello moneymommy
my hubby and i still use e-bay's website to mostly sell tons of music albums on. we have sold a few of them but nothing to brag about. we have tons more albums that we need to list on e-bay's website for sell, but it is time consuming and it also costs each time that you list an item for sell on their website. but sometimes an item will go for lots more than you had expected, or sometimes the item will just go for the listed price. and i guess in my opinion of the matter, these days most everybody has a paypal account that they can just wire the money into their accounts like that.
take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

I absolutely love EBay, but I would not know about any changes they have made. I don't sell either, just shop and I usually pay with a credit card. My dad however, has done well with a business on EBay but since the economy is horrible right now, his business is suffering. Besides the layout change, maybe the status of the economy is what's forcing EBay to make some changes.

I use ebay quite a bit. I did not know that they use to take money orders so i guess it was not really too big of a deal for me. I have foind some really cool, really cheap stuff on that site, and think that I will still visit it. i do have to agree with you though the new layout is not really my thing.

Yes, I do. I have just recently "won" an item there. So far, everything has been working fine. I don't look much at its layout or things like that. I am more on what bargains I could find.

Well I like ebay still but the money order thing I feel is a little unfair. i guess you could still ask someone because I have and they allowed me to. I know as of this month it is no longer allowed but I guess you have to do what you gotta do. I know there have been a lot of changes to the site but sometimes change is good. Take care and happy mylotting to you as well.

I do use ebay occasionally. I havent noticed any changes though because I am not a very frequent user and usually only use it to get ink cartridges every few months for example. I will usually use it if I am looking for a bargain on something in particular which is hard to get from anywhere else or is expensive from other sources

I always used ebay to find a bargin, alothough it has been awhile since I have logged onto it, but after reading this discussion, I logged on tonight. I have to agree some of the changes are terrible. I think it a case of "If its not broken why fix it"
Thanks for bringing this to my attenion.

I don't use EBay anywhere near as often as I used to. We used to sell stuff on there but found the charges and the shipping charges too high. I still sometimes buy things off of EBay but I used to buy a lot more.

I don't like using Ebay anymore.
Ebay charges fees to sellers these days unlike before, I understand that those fees are for the maintenance of the site but however, I am so disappointed that they are asking me to pay those fees while I have not sell any of my items yet and they have suspended my account for it.

I"ve only scanned thru e-bay's offerings but I have never bought or listed anything.
Usually unless I"m a collector of things or whatever as I find once I punch in the shipping on something it's not worth it to me.

hiya there yeah used to use ebay had rating of over 10000 but new fee's have crippled the site and I know alot of people who are leaving ebay
why fix what wasnt broken I also dont like the fact that we have to pay a fee to list items then a selling fee then a fee on paypal etc etc they are making money 3 times but guess they are a business
if anyone (especially if you are us based), wants an alternative to ebay and a free listing to try it out give me a message on here and i'll gladly give you the url as cant post a link on here

Nope I don't use Ebay no more.
Ebay is a big rip off with fees and such.
I got scammed on Ebay awhile back and they went after me instead of the person that scammed me and I was blocked from Ebay.
I now use a site that is Free to list and I am making sales better than I did on Ebay.
Try Ecrater, it's way better.
My Ecrater site is mountainbadger1975.ecrater.com
Ebay should start realizing that they are going to lose business if they don't straighten up and start fixing up they're site but of course they are only thinking of the money and not much of they're customers from what I am hearing from alot of people.

I browse ebay a lot. I used to sell but it has been quite awhile. Personally, I don't like to send money orders, but isn't that up to the seller rather or not they will accept one? Or is it just ebay who won't accept money orders for their fee? Anyway, if I find a bargain on there I will buy.
