Do You Always Press The Preview Button Before Submitting Your Post?

February 9, 2009 6:49pm CST
When I press the preview button, 9 times out of ten I see a mistake that I did not see while I was still in edit mode. Do you feel the need to press the preview button before you post, or do you hit the submit button first every time?

Hello imaginearea! Honestly, I always press the submit button immediately. But before sending it, I usually check first like maybe there's some typos or not. I guess pressing the preview button is just a waste of time especially if the server is slow..

Another brave soul...I am a bit anal about the way things look...I'm a bit of a perfectionist and even though I know it takes me longer to press the preview button, I still press it...would you believe I sometimes hit the preview button 3 or 4 times before posting, especially if its a long post. Sad...I know.

I hit the submit button immediately. ^-^ I read my posts though before hitting the submit button, just to make sure I don't have any typos.

Oh you are so brave to hit the submit button immediately. I seem to have blind spots while I'm still in edit mode, so I don't trust my eyes while in edit mode, as soon as I switch to preview mode I often see at least 3 things that I need to fix...I wonder why that is?

I no longer press the preview button when I make a post, because on several occasions I have lost the post entirely. I tend to paste my longer posts in my word processor first, as it will show up any grammatical errors and typos. But also, if I paste in word, and leave it open, there is no chance of losing what I have written even if this site crashes. For short posts though, I rarely both except to give it a very quick read-through before posting. :-) Derek

If I'm posting from work then I preview before submitting because the keyboard there is ancient and misses out the spaces. When I'm at home I don't - and I miss out the spaces all by myself

Hmm, I think I've never ever hit the preview button? I guess I'm too lazy to do that? Haha

I admit that I am bad and do not preview before posting, but often my computer acts funny when I try (I'm on Vista unfortunately), but I do read my posts first for glaring errors! I acctually think I have inproved my typing here at this site in the past few weeks, so I know I gained something out of this experience!

I know what you mean about Vista (yuk), Windows XP was much better.

I never hit the preview button, although a couple of times I hit preview by accident lol. Before I hit submit, I re-read it over to make sure stuff is spelled right, and that I haven't forgotten something I wanted to say.

I dont preview my posts I usually just write the posts and send. I think most of my posts are OK. I dont have a problem with sending the posts they are just there and need no improvement as far as I am concerned. i really dont care who reads or comments on mhy posts. They are just posts to me and ones that I am not too concerned with.

I never press review, which kind of I am starting to regret at times. Usually I do not make errors, rather than forgetting a word or two. Which makes the whole post useless D: I am now trying to be better at that u_u
