There are times when you feel depressed and nothing seems to set your mood right.
Then what do you do bounce back stronger from the experience.
Which activity seems to lift your spirits back ,loosens your nerves at such a time ?
For me its jogging by the woods with my ipod plugged to my ears.
How about you ?

When I am sad, I do different things that cheer me up. The best is talking about why I feel sad to someone but usually that isn't possible or plausible, so I watch TV, player a computer game or design something in Photoshop.

i was worked up the other day about things and what may be happening soon. so i was not in the best of moods for work, my work mate i don't think like seeing me in a grump so tried to cheer me up but got nowhere, he gave up a little bit i think. he can make me smile with silly things, but the one thing i wanted was a cuddle. which he wouldn't do and just said my partner could do it. but it was my partner that was partly the cause of my mood, so it got dropped. i then on the way over to the inlaws stuck a pink's so what song on repeat and turned it up loud. that made me feel better. depends on what i'm feeling like on if i get to take the horse out and go for a gallop, listen to music, or go for a bike ride or walk.

I'll get myself some detective stories and enter into another world, or I'll turn on the hifi and blast my room with an hour of music or watch a horror/suspense movie. Basically I just want to have something that can push up my adrenaline and the sadness becomes easier to handle. I'd also have a talk with my dad as he has been through much hardships so I can learn from his experience.

I try listening to happy songs, watch some funny movie or serials, or eat something I like ex:chocolate. Sometimes crying it out helps decreases the sadness and makes me stronger.

It depends upon what I'm upset about. Sometimes I listen to music, sometimes I take a hot bath, sometimes I exercise, and other times I just journal.

Sometimes it helps if I just vent about it, whether it's just to my friends or in a blog. If I don't feel like doing that, then one of my favorite movies always helps, especially if it's a comedy. I'll put one in and I feel better once it's over. Music always helps as well. I've used it many times to get myself back on track.

Music is number one for me, as i see it is with most people. Another big thing for me is my best friend, I can call her and she will just make me laugh and tell me to snap out of it.
One more thing... sunlight. If possible get outside and get some sunlight, that is another thing that picks me up.

Whenever I feel sad, I turn on the radio. Listen to music. Then turn on the TV. Insert a video karaoke CD. Plug the mic. And starts singing. :) I sometimes go out or do some research over the Internet everytime I think I am starting to feel depressed. I just keep myself busy to avoid being depressed and it worked! Dancing is also effective in taking sorrow or sadness away. I always lean on to music or the Internet whenever I feel bad or sad or depressed.
