I guess some information is manufactured but a lot isn't. A lot of information is based on truth but has been skewed or stretched to make it sound more interesting.
Perhaps there will be a London bus on Mars in a few hundred years :P

I never read crap paper, and I don't buy them, its a waste of money, so if I want to get the new I watch the News At Ten.

A lot of what the media puts out is twisted and skewed to show the audience what the media wants them to see. What concerns me more, though, is how many people seem to take the crap the media puts out waaaaay too seriously.

A lot of it. People are not interested by the ordinary and average every day situations. Extraordinary and not-so average things capture the interest of people. Like your title :O
