I always love sunrise and sunset, they seem a perfect antidote for my lonely life and troubled mind, they help cure emptiness and depression. Everytime I feel lonely and sad, I just look at the sunrise and sunset, and it somehow calm and soothe battered feelings from deep with in, do you feel the same?what do you choose between the two?

I like the sunset better, maybe because I don't get to see the sunrise more often or maybe its that sense of peace that comes when you know that the day is about the end and its time to rest. I find the sunset more relaxing, especially since there is a sense of fulfillment that I have already done the tasks for the day. The sunrise, however, symbolizes the start of a another day and I immediately think about the things that i have to do within the day.

I love the sunrise. It's that feeling of "a new beginning" that gives me the strength to overcome all the hard stuff acumulated the days before. But, of course, I wake up at 9-10 o'clock in the morning and lose the moment. I found the sunset somehow depressing and I really don't understand how people can view it as a romantic moment, lol.

I also feel the same as you feel, actually Am alone from few days because I had lost my parents and another shock for me is that my girlfriend to whom I love alot left me with a stupid reason that I can't afford her expenses, thats why when I feel alone or feel tensed I go near to sea and watch the beautifull scene of sunset and get relaxed for couple of days.

i like both, too. when i see the sunrise, i feel very energetic and when i see the sunset, i feel a bit sad,but i like this feeling. however, i seldom see sunrise or sunset because when the sun rises, i am sleeping. in summer, the sun rises early, i can't watch sunsise; in winter, the sun rises later, but i get up later, too. when the sun goes down, i was often eating or walking or doing other things. i hope i can watch sunrise and sunset everyday, i just like it.

interesting question....but i feel the sunset is the best because thinking of all the things that youve done that day is a spl feelin than begining a day seeing the sunrise...

I think hubby and i experienced to see the sunset together. We haven't experience yet seeing the sunrise together because of his job. But it feels like seeing sunset is the same feeling when me and hubby walk on the side of the beach holding hands. Heheh, Romantic huh!

i love the sunrise, but i have to say i have never been able to wake myself up in time to see one! the only time i did get to see a couple was just a coincidence - i woke to say bye to my brother off to work and then once i was on a plane and saw the most amazing sunrise ever!! i also love sunsets, and this i have had a fair share of enjoying for their calming, relaxing and peaceful effect.. great topic, thanks for posting.

sunrise makes my hopes and aspirations rise to a higher level and the evening hours witness the stubbing out of such great thoughts.

I love both sunrise & sunset as they just reflect the awesomeness & majesty of God the Creator. I'd say I love sunset more in this particular way: with every sunset, it's like the closure / end of a day but the idea of having experienced the sunset gives you the assurance that there will be another sunrise the next day - a brand new day & His mercies are new every morning

I guess I like sunrise more coz it stands for the becoming of a day.I love to smile at the sun in the morning and say hello to her. This doesnt happen often coz on weekends I get up too late to greet and on workdays,Im in a hurry to work.Besides, the sunrise cannot be seen on a rainy or cloudy day.

Summer Sunset - Summer Solstice
I adore both the sunrises and the sunsets. A Sunrise Welcoming a New Day. A Sunset is a cheerful close to the day gone by. I am often found up early into the wee hour mornings, ready for the sunrise focused in my lens. I can be found zooming country back roads chasing the perfect sunset scene. Only to turn around to face what is now the fullest of harvest moon. I love to photograph the ultimate sunset and sunrise. Beautiful features, the clouds give me texture. The light shines on. Cheerful happy moments in the sunshine coming up or going down. The sunrise energizes me, allows a moment to ponder the plans for my daylight hours ahead of me. The sunset gives to me reflection of the day gone by, beginning to plan for tomorrow.

I am a morning person that is why I prefer sunrise more. The refreshing feeling that the sun provides at sunrise is very soothing to mind and body. Sunset is also good but it is some kind of lonely for me that they day is already closing already. It reminds me that the day is about to retire already.

..I love both of them.. however, I love sunrise better.. Sunrise always let me feel that in this life, a new day is always coming despite of all the problems and difficulties we are facing. It helps me realize how wonderful life is. It always gives me new hope and new day to try and do my best again to reach my dreams.

i prefer seeing both. sunset to me means that its about time to take a rest and free yourself on the worries of today. while the sunrise is a new opportunity for me to have a great and wonderful day. seeing the sun rises makes me feel that i am so blessed of witnessing this once in a life time chance to be thankful that i am still alive and breathing. same with the sunset.

I also like them both. I do prefer sun set though because if I'm actually seeing the sun rise that means I'm awake way to early and need to be getting some sleep
