Janus Pendant

I finally finished it! Two or three weeks ago I decided to try my hand at converting a picture into a free form brick stitch pendant of the head of Janus, the two faced Roman Deity of doors, gates, and hallways. I don't really know what prompted that bright idea, but my second attempt to bead it up turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. One color could have been better, it's a little too shiny, but here's the picture. Since free form brick stitch is a new stitch to me, I was pretty excited about the results.

Oh, no I made a pattern with Bead Tool program. I had to work it up first to see if the beads suggested by the program would work properly before I put the pattern up for sale.

That is outstanding! I so admire people who can do that. My great grandma had a great talent knitting and sowing, and doing things of that sort. I don't know how many afghans she made, as well as blankets, and towels. She always made a special cross stitch on her towels. You did a great job!

I was raised in that era where all the dish towels had to be decorated, dressers had to have scarves with embroidery and crochet embellishments and on and on and on. In a way I kind of miss it, but that early influence is what brought me to where I am now.
Thanks for the compliments. :)

Its really lovely, you have done a great job on this. The shading works really well I think, conveys the texture and shape very well indeed.

Thanks. I just like "doodlin'" with beads. And now that I have a bead pattern program I like doodlin with that too!

That turned out great! I likey!
I know we aren't supposed to do on liners, but you know, sometimes that's all you really need, isn't it?
I mean, it's not like I just said Yes, or No, or pretty, or something.
Ok, that's enough. I am done now.*L*
