Congratulations on your new book! I will have to look for it the next time I go book shopping. You must be very proud of yourself for such an accomplishment. I have not had many exciting moments yet today, but it is still early. With three kids and a dog there is probably going to be some excitement at some time, even if it is just a poop related incident!

I do like your new avatar. Congratulations on completing your new book. What's the title and when will it be out? I would be so excited also if I were in your shoes. That's quite an accomplishment.
This discussion is from yesterday so I will tell you about my day yesterday. Decided to go to the casino. Went later in the morning and was playing Keno. I won 3 handpay jackpots. So, it was an exciting profitable day. I really had a good time. Got home later in the afternoon and told my husband I was so tired from cleaning the house all day..lol Just kidding, he knew where I was because I gave him the tax forms.

Wow! Congratulations on your new book being finished. That IS exciting! And I took a close-up look at your new avatar and it's lovely. It must be the cover of your new book. That is very cool.
No, I haven't had an exciting moment lately. Well, I've been having to get CAT scans like there's no tomorrow over the last 3 weeks, so I guess I've been pretty excited when I've gotten good news about those. But that can't compare with the feeling you must have about completing another book. That is wonderful. Hope you sell a million (or two).

Jeesh, it has been crazy. I'd been sick, with cold or flu-like symptoms for 6 weeks or so and ended up in the ER with the stomach flu, dehydrated. They sent me home after 5 hours and giving me 2 IV bags, some pain med, and some anti-nausea med.
So, the stomach symptoms went away, but I started coughing with sinus drainage. I was taking Zyrtec and it seemed to help a little. Then, my throat started getting sore, and I mean sore! And the coughing increased. I went to my dr. on a Mon. and she said to keep taking the Zyrtec. By Friday, I was a wreck--hacky, barking cough, a horrible sore throat, couldn't sleep, etc. I called my dr. and she said, "get a chest x-ray, start taking Prilosec in the a.m., in case you've got acid reflux (causes cough), add Singulair at night, and call the allergist" (I'd never been to one before). I did and got an appt. for the following Wed.
She seemed like a pretty sharp doctor. She gave me a breathing test and said I had severe asthma. She gave me 2 nose sprays, an inhaler, told me to go that day to get a CAT scan of my sinuses. Well, she called me 2 days later and said the lymph nodes in my neck were swollen and that I needed to go that day to get CAT scans of my neck and chest. She said, "I made you an appt. to see an ENT right away" (that's an Ear, Nose, Throat specialist). Anyhoo, I went to see him and he said I had a thin neck (I wanted to kiss him for that) and that my lymph nodes didn't look or feel swollen to him.
Then, he stuck a wire up my nose and pushed it to the back of my throat (no, I'm not making that up and it was very weird), and said that acid reflux was the root of my problem and explained why. He then said he would review all my CAT scans and call me ASAP.
Well, he called me at 9:00 p.m. the next night and said everything was okay except there was a nodule on my left bre-st that showed up on the CAT scan of my chest. I said I'd had a lumpectomy there and I'm sure it was scar tissue. He then spoke with the radiologist who read the test and called me back and said, "this was in a different place." Can you believe all this, because I can't, I used to be healthy.
He said he scheduled me for an ultrasound on that bre-st and to call the imaging place the next day to confirm. So I did.
I got the ultrasound this past Fri. and they said it was scar tissue! I was glad but I was annoyed that I had to take even more time for more medical tests/visits, especially since I'd told them that was what it was. And I'm teaching this semester, so it's been incredibly hectic, with being sick and all the medical appointments.
So now, I'm just getting used to all the extra medicine. We'll be going to Europe in less than a month so my husband I were both freaked out about my health. I'm feeling now, though, like I can make the trip and that I'll be fine.
Aren't you sorry you asked that question????

Hi Jill,
I'm so excited for you!! It's a beautiful cover. Is it possible to read the introduction? I usually read mystery thrillers but not exclusively. If the book is half as good as the cover, you can't loose. I will be sure to buy it as soon as I am able. I've never read a book by someone I know. Good luck with your sales sweetie!! Hugsssssss
