Here are some reasons why you should be eating bananas everyday. 1. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. 2. Bananas is known to make you relax, improve your mood and make you feel happy. 3. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels. 4. High in iron bananas can stimute the production of haemoglobin in the blook and so helps in cases of anaemia. 5. Banana is high in potassium yet low in salt making it perfect to beat blood pressure. 6. This potassium packed fruit can assist learning by making children more alert. 7. High in fibre, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without restoring to laxatives. 8. One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and with the help of the honey builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and rehydrates the system. 9. Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief. 10. Snacking on a banana between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness. 11. Bananas help Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan. 12. Bananas also help people trying to give up smoking. The magnesium and potassium help the body recover from the affect of nicotine withdrawal. The banana is indeed a cure for many illness. So should we say "a banana a day keeps the doctor away?"

Hello mayka......thanks for such an extensive information on bananas.Yes ,bananas are a great food for all round health benefits, for the average person, dieter or even athletes, since it provides greater benefits than most fruits. The combination of carbohydrates and B vitamins present in a banana helps provide an energy boost which makes them great to eat 30 minutes before a workout, or even at breakfast to help boost energy at the start of every day. Bananas may be one of the best fruits to eat when attempting to lose weight. They are full of nutrients for increased energy and vitality.Infact mayka allow me to rephrase your last suggestion to..... " a banana before you mylot keeps boredom at bay...."...

Hey, Yea i eat bananas a lot too. I love eating fruits. Right from apple to grapes to pineapple and so on. The only fruit which i dont eat much is Mangoes. Dont get me wrong i love eating mangoes but i tend to over eat it and then it has an adverse efffect on my stomach. In m ygym i have freinds who eat around 6-8 bananas daily. They are all in high protein diet and its a very good natural supplement. I try to eat 3-4 daily. Cheers, Tutul

This very informative. I know banana has health benefits and that it is very rich in potassium but knowing all of this after reading your post is just very informative and helpful. I am glad to hear that it can help regulate blood glucose level and that it is rich in iron. So from now on i may try to eat enough banana that i need.

Banana is indeed the most healthy fruit with a lot of benefits. And not too expensive and would fit into everyones budget. So there is no harm if we make it a habit to have a couple of bananas everyday!

Email me the address you want the cake sent and I will courier it to you. But no guarantee about when it will be delivered to you and in what condition. No guarantee that it will be still fresh by the time you receive it. But you have to promise to eat it when you receive it! LOL The next time you go to buy cake ask them if they have a banana cake. I am sure it must be available in your city. We get banana bread too!

How funny, I went to go get a banana and then saw your discussion. I eat a banana almost every day. I mix it up a bit. Somedays I just eat plain, aren't they wonderful they come in their own little package and are portable. Other days I slice up and eat with cereal or cottage cheese(I know it sound weird but it is really good). I often make shakes with yogurt and fruit and will add a banana. And sometimes for dessert sliced up with some cream or half and half. So 5- 6 days per week I eat a banana, more like 5 days most weeks. In the summertime don't forget to get you a banana split. YUM!

Bananas are good for the body as there are many essential health benefits brought by eating banana. I love bananas too but I can't have much intake of it because I usually get a problem removing my bowels. It hardens my bowels and since I have history of hemmorhoids (when I was pregnant), then I can take the risk of having a serios problem later. I eat one banana every two weeks.

well, i can eat a bundle of bananas in one shot!..LOL..^.^ ..i really love it!..whether it's slightly ripe, ripe, or overripe, i'll sill eat it!..i also eat different kinds of it..the green one is my favorite(it's not unripe), i just don't know what it is called..but it's really delicious, with nice vanilla-like aroma..my mother uses it for her banana cake/bread and it's really YUMMY!..i also like it in my halo-halo(it's a Filipino dessert..just go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo-halo if you want to know about it..NOTE: it's not a referral link*.*)..it's not really one of the basic ingredients of halo-halo but it adds flavor and (as what i've said) aroma.. ..i'm going too far from the topic but i just want to share it^.^v ..now that i know all of those facts that you listed, i'll really eat more BANANAS!!! ..thanks for posting the info!

I love me bananas...but confess that I am picky about the ones I buy. At the moment I like the locally grown bananas since the imported ones seems so tasteless.

I love bananas! I like them when they are still pretty green, as if they are over ripe, they are way too sweet for me. Bananas did get me through my last pregnancy, though not the first 4. They also provide a lot of other essential vitamins and minerals too and are always put on the recommmended list for when someone is sick. Our girls love them too, which is good. it is the one fruit they can all agree on as being the best! lol.
