I like to go once a week. I know some people go everyday to get what they need. I figure I will save on gas and shop weekly. I also like to have food in so if someone gets sick and we cant go to the store we have enough. How about you do you shop daily?

hello moneymommy
i like to go to the grocery store like once every two weeks to stock up good. then usually my family and myself will run out of things like milk, bread, snacks or cheese. things that like i have to run into the grocery store like every couple of days to purchase. when i do that kind of shopping for just a few items i go to the closest grocery store around here and that is Food Lion. otherwise when i go to stock up at the grocery store, i usually always go to Kroger's to do my shopping. when i only needs a couple of items at the grocery store, i do not feel like driving a little ways to Kroger's to do so because i feel like i save some by going to Food Lion in gas money as well.
take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

l also don't shop daily. l prefer to shop weekly, so l can plan and budget my expenses. l try not to buy too much fresh food because if buy too much, usually ended-up throwing away to the garbage can. Only those preserved food, then l will buy more to keep stock, especially my child's milk powder.

Shopping daily I think would end up costing us more in the long run. I like my weekly schedule.

The nearest hypermart to us is about a 5 minutes drive away; so that makes daily shopping rather difficult. Anyway, daily shopping is also inconvenient, like you mentioned, waste of gas and time. We shop weekly - especially for fresh meat, vegetables and other foodstuff. Household stuff - we will buy when needed, or when there's a promotion or sale.

I do the bulk of my grocery shopping once a month
its 20 miles to town to go grocery shopping
so we dont want to make too many trips
we get odds and ends throughout the month at the local convenience store

If I lived that far away from town I would have to only go once a month too. I always try to stock up on meats and dinners.

we only go out every other week to get groceries and if we forget something, we usually leave it until the next time we grocery shop! (of course that is not always possible but most often we do this.)
we just plan ahead when it comes to meals, thats all.

The grocery stores and the public market is just a walking distance from my place so I don't usually stock things at home. Aside from getting a break away from the computer, buying groceries also allows me to stretch and exercise a little. The fish and meat section of our public market always have fresh stocks in them so I really prefer going there daily to get what I need to cook for the day.

I'm not a daily food shopper, I buy just about a week of food each time so I do food shopping pretty much weekly.

We do the groceries on a weekly basis. It becomes a family bonding for us. We'd bring along our little boy to have him choose his school snack for the week. We usually have a grocery list with us so we would only buy what we needed. We try to purchase on a weekly budget.

I love daily shopping like a shopaholic. However, when the price of the food increased I changed my habit because it is not healthy to my pocket anymore. Weekly shopping in the hypermarket is better than doing it daily. Also, lessen the meat products because I’m getting fattier for everyday consumption of fatty foods. I do substitute it with more vegetables. It is also good because I feel lighter every day same as with my hubby.

We shop once a month but if we need something, my fiancee picks up what we need when he gets off of work.

Me and my family get the majority of our grocery shopping once or twice a week, and then in between we might go out to get more consumable items such as bread and milk. It's just easier I think to stock up on things that have a longer shelf-life. I wouldn't want to waste time during the week having to go out and get things almost everyday

I dont have time to go every day, we try to go once a week, we do the bulk of our shopping and then do little trips for things for a specific dinner we decide to make or things that we run out of during the middle of the week... but I prefer to go once a week, and in the summer we have a farmers market we go to as well... I love when that is open.

I usually go to grocery once a week for other grocery items and personal hygiene needs and cold cuts, but for vegetables, i have to do it daily to make sure i've picked the freshest one, since wet market is just near in our place , it would be easy for us to go to the market on a daily basis.
