How often do you train? Are you dedicated?

Ok, so I'm in the Arnold Classic for Professional Armwrestling. I just started doing it 3months ago and my husband has been doing it for 11months. I was just wondering what kinds of sports/body enhancement are other people into and how often you train? I strength train about 2hours everyday and pull for an hour twice a week. I think about it about every min of the day, same as my hubby.. Are you dedicated even if you don't think about it that often, or only when you are working out?

WoW! I say more power to you! I just watched a video of women arm wrestling, and I cannot even imagine doing that sport, but that's just me. It looks like fun to watch, but I couldn't do it. I was never much on lifting weights or working out. Even when I played softball from 5th grade to my sophomore year in college. I didn't go to gyms or lift. Nor during Volleyball season. I don't know, it could be that I am just lazy like that. My husband is into martial arts and he is all about lifting weights and strength training, but when I tried to work out with him, I could not even do a regular sit up....! That's bad I know. I believe as a sports player, I am not very dedicated to the work that I would have to put into it concerning my body, but I am dedicated entirely to the sport itself. Don't know. But I wish you luck in your progress as an Arm Wrestler :)

It is extremely difficult! Its tons harder than it looks. Also, I'm only 107lbs and weight classes for girls are alot larger than mens. Mens classes stay around 10-15lbs difference and every pound counts. Womens weight classes are normally 0-143 and 143-up. OR is open. So I could go against a women 400lbs. Plus tendon pain is way worse then just a muscle pain or being sore. I'd take a broken bone over the feeling I have 5 days a week in my arms. Its something not most people stick with. We have guys that come to the training sessions for one day, feel the pain, and NEVER come back. Even though they think it'll be no big deal. And thank you!

Right now.. I'm just going to the gym and I don't have a sport... I was planning to go for track and field but I'm afraid I won't make it... I'm not that strong enough. But yes I'm dedicated.. but it not that dedicated anymore because sometimes I get lazy to workout.. any tips?

I think you should try out no matter what.. who cares if you don't make it. Ask the coach for tips on how you can the next year or to improve yourself. I just try to set time away to do it and know every time I work out, I'm getting that much better... I guess I have a goal in mind and I just try to go after it. Maybe get a friend to work out with you, it may help out. It helps that my husband does it too.
