Hi there rocketj1
Man that's a pain eh? Just when you just figuring things out on another program!! Well I won't be around at all next week because the kids are on half term and we are going down to Cornwall for the week. Hopefully when I get back you will have got your computer problems sorted out. Any clue as to what is wrong with it? Take it easy and I look forward to catching up with you when I am back and you are sorted!

As long as you're coming back that's what counts my friend. I've had my share of computer glitches too but I think it's internet problems and not computer issues.

I understand perfecty! I myself am going through it as of now. Sometimes, I am able to be on the Internet, while other times, I am cut off. But, I will post as much as I can. I am on the WiFi network. So, sometimes I am here and other times I can't get a connection to get on. Just know that you are welcome back when you are up and running again! I hope to see you real soon! We will miss you! I hope that your connection gets better!

My own computer is behaving strange lately but am still limping. Keeps telling me my memory is low and I wonder what it expects me to do because I have no idea what to do about low memories. So rocketJ1, I will soon be in your shoes if this continues.

Low memory is that you have too much processes running and have not enough ram to handle them. You can either increase your virtual memory space via system properties or add another stick of ram. You can also close programs and processes that you are not using :D hope i helped.

Hopefully you get back up and running soon. It really bites when the computer doesn't work right. They seem to have a mind of their own.

You are right about that! I wonder sometimes if it's laughing at me. Sometimes when it's really slow I will talk to it in a "mommy-type" voice and encourage it with a sarcastic "You can do it! Come on, big boy, you can do it!" ----Yup. I get a little strange sometimes! heehee

Still having some troubles with things locking up but I am continuing despite them!
I also have gotten a little addicted to facebook. It seems everyone at my church is signed up there and it's been fun to beat the winter blues there. Do you have an account there? I just love it! No money but I've been able to chat with some friends that I haven't seen in YEARS! So that is part of the reason that I haven't been able to be here as much.

Still struggling with some computer troubles. Mostly it will just lock up for no reason. It's better than it was but still a pain in the neck! I've also gotten involved in facebook.com and have been spending a lot of time there. If you set up an account there, pm me or e-mail me and I'll give you my full name if I haven't already. I use my maiden name there too so that people from my pre-married days can find me too. It's been a lot of fun to see where so many of my old friends are!

Still working on my computer troubles. Things just "lock up" for no reason and I'm still struggling a bit although things are a little better than they were. At least I am able to come here and do some responses.
Thanks:)
Your avatar is adorable by the way! Is that your kitty?

You have computer lock-up, freezes and slow down, sounds like a possible infection or registry problem. Hmm for starters use CCleaner. Its a freeware that cleans ur internet temp files/cahces and also cleans up your registry. Cleaning your temp files is very important because gbs of space may be stored only as these files wasting the space of your harddrive, spyware and adware mostly gather in the temp files. After that go into safe mode and scan your computer for infection. Safe mode is needed because some malware run when the computer is booted up normally under processes and thus you cannot delete it completely.
I have a personal pc blog that i have created with some tips to protect yourself from malwares. http://pcantz.blogspot.com/
