Are you a worrier, I am I have tried to curb this thinking, I know it's a waste of energy and does no good. But I still worry. If you have found a way to stop this please let me know.

I'm a worrier too so I don't have any personal words of wisdom for you but I can tell you what I've been told: Only live in the moment - think about one day at a time and think about the now. I hope this helps you even a little bit...

I also like to worry too much. And I think that your words have said a lot here. You can only take it day by day. It is not easy to tell someone to stop worrying. It has been a part of me for about three quarters of my life. I will soon be 41. It just seems natural for me to have growing concerns every day.

I think it shows a certain level of responsibility when you actually worry. And I think it's only natural to have growing concerns every day. After all some days it seems like there is more bad than good in the world. That's upsetting. But if you concentrate on just one day at a time, sometimes it seems easier. At least that's what I'm trying to do these days...

i am also a sort of worrier but no i have considerably calmed down.i have come to realise that i cannot gain anything by worrying, maybe it will only harm me by having adverse effect on my health.meditation has helped me alot and also forcibly thinking positive thoughts, shaking ofthe negative thoughts does help.

now see, worrying can only make things worser for you, you cannot think objectively and your stress levels can have a negative impact on your health and could lead to chronic depression, all problems in life are transitory, you must learn to embrace it and move on. and of course, praying / meditating really helps. after all god knows what's best for your life.

Hey pat! I wish I knew the answers to that question! I have been a worrier all my life and don't seem to be quite able to stop myself! No matter what I'm told or how I try I can't help myself! I have tried to relax and all that other stuff they tell you to do, but all to no avail! So if someone holds the secret, please let me in on it too!

Hello there savypat. Good day to you. Worrying is just normal for us people, it just shows that you do still have emotions running in your body. It just depends what/who are you worrying into? Do you worry like every minute? That worrying just became a habit for you?

I used to worry a great deal when I was in my early 20's. It has taken almost ten years to figure out that it's not worth it lol. So, for me, I try to live in the present moment. Meaning, I try not to think about the future. It is not that I am not aware of when bill are due, but I put them on the calendar, and then forget about them. When I come to that date, then I think about them. Doing just that has taken a great deal of worry out of the equation. I also used to worry about what people thought of me. I was the type to do all I could to please people. I learned that is a horrible waste of energy. So, I simply stopped. I did this by catching the thought and letting it go. If a worry like that came into my head I'd stop it, much like a bouncer asking for ID. I'd then tell myself it's not worth my energy and imagine it going off on its way. It helped a great deal.
