Friday the 13th

There is a superstition around these parts that foretells bad luck on Friday the 13th. Do you have this superstition in your country? If so do you agree that bad things happen more often on this day. For me I feel the opposite. Friday the 13th is my lucky day. I was married on a Friday the 13th, and my sons first birthday was on Friday the 13th... so I love it. How about you?

Oh yeah. I forgot that was today. I dont believe that friday the 13th is bad luck. I think it is just another normal day. I have had an okay day so far. Nothing bad has happened. nothing great either.

Yes, we also have that superstition in our country. People avoid going out from their homes on these dates because they believe that accidents are closer to them on Friday the 13th. But I have read in a paper that the least number of road accidents are on days of Friday the 13th. The reason for this is that people tend to be careful in everything that they do on these dates. Thinking that accident is closer, they want to avoid it by being extra careful.

My father was also born on a Friday the 13th and we have considered it a very lucky number though here it is considered an unlucky number and day. Tomorrow it will be 13 years that my partner and I have been together and I am very happy. I have not noticed anything particularly unlucky about the dated unless to count the last Jason movie. That sucked! LOL Vicki

Yes, we do have this superstition in Canada. But personally, nothing awful has happened to me on a Friday the 13th. I'm really not the type of person who is very superstitious, even though I'm studying in drama, which is filled with superstitions. I'm just not one of those who believes in those types of things.

Hey glords! That is so nice! I don't believe that Friday the
13th is bad luck either! Most of the other days are always
unlucky so I try to think that the 13th will be lucky instead!
Although, not so much this one! My boyfriend and I had a big
fight today, but I think we are ok now! He doesn't usually
stay mad as long as I do, but he also doesn't always tell
the truth about stuff and I feel that he is hiding something
that might make me really angry. I guess I'll have to wait
and see! I will find out if he is and he will be in deep......

Hi glords
It being Friday the 13th certainly doesn't bother me at all. I can't say that my day has been any worse or any better for it being the 13th today! There is another one coming up next month too but it is going to be a great day because it will be my mum's 60th birthday!
