would you listen to a song performed by Joqhuin Phoenix? What do you think of his prospects of becoming a musical artist?

Hi bgerig! Probably, I will listen to him just to amuse myself. lol..I have seen his performance at Las Vegas in youtube and well, he really don't have the talent to be a rapper. He is a good actor and I hope he will stay as one. However, maybe in due time he will hone his singing voice and miraculously become a really good singer or rapper. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

Oh man, is he looking nuts. I love the guy. I feel sorry for him having lost his brother, and he has gone into rehab for drinking before, but this just seems so odd. I wouldn't listen to his music because it doesn't seem to be music. He truly sang in the movie Walk the Line, but he seems to think rap is his calling.

Yes, I enjoy Joaquin Phoenix's songs as its all in blues genre of music and relax listening; I Walk The Line, Ring of fire and Folsom Prison Blues. The story telling in the lyrics really were in well arranged although am not connoisseur in music areas, but it always makes me enjoy big smiles while listening to his songs. But now he is keen towards and at high aspirations for his hip-hop genre of music. I believe that he can be a good musical artist, as he also got vast experiences in directing and producing music video; especially for the following bands: Ringside, She Wants Revenge, People in Planes, Arckid, Albert Hammond Jr. and Silversun Pickups. LOL!...On February 11, 2009; during an interview with David Letterman on the Late Show, Joaquin Phoenix acts totally bizarre ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlUlIF3xw0Q ). He was largely unresponsive towards Letterman's questions about the film (Two Lovers) and his acting career. When the audience laughed at his hip-hop aspirations, he complained to Letterman that he was not joking around.

He has gone a bit odd lately. I saw his appearance in Letterman. Phoenix is a talent as an actor. So I would give his music a shot.

I would listen to it, but I don't know for how long. Most of the time, actors who try to do music are not very good.
