Do you ever wish the world would just slow down?

This day in age, everything is moving fast. The people, the cars, the kids, the information, the fads, the prices, the technology! It seems like the minute you think you have got the latest gizmo, gadget or update to something, the next week they have Number 2 coming out or the IMPROVED version! I mean, does anyone stop and smell the roses anymore? Does anyone just sit and let a day go by cuddled up on a couch reading a book while the breeze blows through your window? I try to as much as I can, but when I do, I realize the the world has passed me by and I've missed something. I wish things could just ease up a little and allow us to enjoy the few things we do have instead of trying to entice us to get the the NEWEST version. What do you think?

Oh I am with you, as soon as we buy something it is already out of date, I just don't get it, do we need all this technology, I think it is getting way too out of hand.

I know! My husband is into all these electronics and he keeps telling me about how this one or that one has X amount of Gigs or X amount of memory and how this can do that whereas the other one couldn't. I'm just like, "blah blah blah". lol, it's like he is talking another language. I don't get the point in it all really. And you are right, it IS getting out of hand! :) Thanks for responding!
