Second visit! Second fortune cookie! No fortune!

This is so strange..lol..I have to share it and see what you think. Me and my b/f went to a chinese resturant last night for dinner. It was our second time there and at the ende of our meal the server brought us fortune cookies. I grabbed mine first and he got his and his had no fortune in it! This is not the weird part..I would have thought it just a reject cookie..lol..but the last time we were there a few months ago..his chosen cookie had no fortune in it either!!!! That time i had just thought it a errored cookie and never thought about it again..this time I'm thinking about it. What do you think? Is this strange? Any legends or stories you know of?

yeah i think it's a manufacturing defect...fortune cookies always comes without fortune in a chineese restaurant! have to be careful the next time i am in there...

i hope he gets a good one nevt time. if u want to be silly over them my son told us this one time when we were eating chinese. add in the bed to whatever your fortune reads. it is funny. i'm being mean now. lol

I guess it is just a coincidence.
With the machine making the cookies these days, it is not surprising if a few cookies was not stuffed with the fortune in it.
If you must look afor a reason, well, this is what I would offer.
Your boyfriend is already very lucky. And as such, do not need his fortune foretold in a cookie. Since he does not have any fortune to be predicted or told, his cookie naturally does not have it!
Divine intevention from the forces unknown! Woo~~~!

I wouldn't call it strange, but I think I'd let the server know so that they can inform whoever is in charge of making or ordering the cookies. Maybe they ran out of fortunes to put in the cookie!

lol thanks so much for sharing that story with us all around here at Mylot. lol and i do not think that your boyfriend has much to worry about as in not getting a fortune in his fortune cookie. i would look at it as no fortune, is good fortune. lol right? but that was kinda weird that both times that you all have went to that Chinese Restaurant to eat, that his fortune cookie didn't have a fortune in it. that is great! lol and i do think that that would be some kind of a Chinese Legend or anything like that, but who know's? lol if you all go back or when that you all go back to eat at the Chinese Restaurant again, please let us all know around here at Mylot if your boyfriend's fortune cookie finally had a fortune inside of it or not. lol they say that the thrid time is the charm.

Hi TnWoman! I'll definately keep everyone updated about this. I may have a little fun with it too. I'm thinking about stopping by there and getting a cookie and putting a fortune in it myself..LOL..I don't know how I will manage it but I'm gonna try..hehe Thanks for the response.

Heyya donsky! I would say it's a mistake too. It is kinda strange..the first time it was me and my two girls and out of the four he gets the empty one. This time it was just me and him and I did pick first.Maybe next time we'll ask for another one..lol

Hey Jrn! That is weird isn't it! I have gotten fortune cookies
with no fortune in it too! It does make me kind of nervous
and I do wonder what that means! But, to have that happen
twice in a row! I don't know and he picked the cookie? Hmmm?
I don't believe the fortunes anyway, but I sure would want
to know why there are so many empty cookies! Someone is
sleeping on the job!

Th restaurant buys cheap fortune cookies, there is poor quality control, someone is stealing fortunes from the cookies, the supplier ran out of paper early that day. If it happens again ask for another one. Then of course there are the spooky reasons, I'll let you think of those on your own.

Good fortune comes in the fortunate. i guess your b/f was not fortunate that time. Let him give it a third try and i am sure he will be fortunate this time. i hope he had not left his luck behind at home when going to the restaurant. These fortunes are not really worth it are they?

Well it could mean he's going to have very bad luck or very good luck or absolutely nothing is going to happen! The way I see it it's a fortune cookie so if something good or bad was going to happen it probably would have advised accordingly. Chances are it may mean he is in total control of his own destiny and does not need counsel! It is strange though isn't it that it would happen twice in a row! I'm sure there's good fortune ahead anyway!
