I have just realised ... ....

that I do ALL of my shopping online! I do my grocery shopping online, I shop for all our clothes online, I buy all my music, dvds and games for the kids online. I shop for toys online!! The only thing I do not buy online is my sugar and milk because it is more expensive so I go to the shop for it!!! I can honestly say that I only have to leave the house once a week to pay a visit to the shops, and if I did not have kids I would be at home an awful lot! I think that this is probably a bad thing, but I do dislike shopping and also by doing it online I do save quite a lot of money and can buy from places that I would not see on my high street!! Who else does all their shopping online? Anyone who does not do any shopping at all online? Is it a good or a bad thing do you think to shop online for everything?

I actually don't do much online shopping at all. I prefer to go to the stores and browse the items, try them on, etc etc. Shopping online for groceries is not available to me, so that's out of the question. But as far as clothes and such go, I do buy online occasionally, mostly for hubby or the kids, but for myself I'd much rather see it at the store and try it on before I buy it, because you never know if it will fit right.

Katmeow, I agree with you 100%! I am always buying clothes online and they get to the house and almost always they don't fit. It is so irritating! My husband is easy to shop for because he just wears one size all the time. It seems like my size fluctuates with my mood. ^_^ Anyway, thanks for sharing. Happy myLotting!

Not only does my size fluctuate, but the size of clothing fluctuates by maker as well. You can try on one size at one store, but be a completely different size in another store. I went to Old Navy one day and my usual size was far too big there, then I went to Gap and my usual size was far too small!

I have been lucky in that I have never had the problem of something not fitting, but if it does not I just sell it on and get my money back that way! The only reason I have come so reliant online is because I became a bit of a recluse, I lost all my friends and confidence and so this way I could stay in the house its just gone from there really.

I don't believe in shopping online, because in India, shopping online is more expensive while compared manual shopping. The games, the clothes, everything which are available online cost more, while compared to the cost in a shop so we prefer going out to shop instead of shopping online even though it is more flexible.

When my hubby is away I order our groceries online, only because I don't have a license to drive. I sometimes order clothing and books from points I've earned from different survey sites online too. We book all our travel arrangements online but I would say 60% of the time, I do most of my shopping at the stores.

I'm hoping to change that - going to take the test for my learners hopefully this week:)

That is another reason I shop online as I do not drive and we live in a small town so it is a bit of a pain getting to the shops I want.

Hi,gemini, I have to admit that recently,I was more engaged in the online shopping .haha . I bought almost all my books recently on line as I find that the books are so cheap in comparison with that of the bookstore ,normally here in my city the books often have the 85%discount but while I was buying online I found out that they have 65%discount or even 50%discount .so I these days I was so happy .. what's more we do not need to go out to choose things we want to buy, what we need is just saty at home and the things we want will be delivered right at our home ..hehe ~~~ Most of the time I do not buy clothes quite often online since I do not know whether the beautiful clothes looks also graceful while I am wearing them .I have witness severa cases when my friends buy soem clothes and when they really look at them they do not seem that beautiful as they have seen from the net ~~~so I never dared to buy clothes~~~ Molly;-)

I haven't tried shopping online. I am so used of going to malls to do it. It is not mere shopping only. But bonding moments with my kids. We dine and stroll. I make sure to do it at least once a month.

We dont have a mall or shopping centre where I live, the nearest one is about 30 minutes away so I have to get the bus which takes 45 minutes to get there. My kids are all travel sick so it is not much fun, hence the online idea.

I do buy online. But not all the time. I buy online products for my training. Like handbooks and other training equipments which are not available in our country. I think there is nothing wrong with buying online. The important thing is security.

Yes I do worry about security but only use a couple of places to shop at, most of my clothes etc are bought through the shops on ebay.

Personally I think Shopping online has it's advantages as well as it's disadvantages. The high cost of shipping is something I usually end up having to consider, but I have been known to do a lot of my shopping from time to time online as well. I guess for me it would depend on my mood if I was to consider doing more of it online. I enjoy getting a change to get out and see things in real life, and be around others. Just make sure you do not allow yourself to become depressed or never wanting to get out while doing this as well, as that would not be Good for you either.

I think that it is easy to become stuck in a rut of staying in the house but I will try not too.

I do not do very much shopping. I do not do hardly any online shopping. I like to see what I am buying. I also have cut way back on any spending or shopping because of the economy. I may do a small amout from time to time, but thats about it!

I mainly started shopping online because it was cheaper for me to do so, while it is cheaper I shall keep on.

That would be so boring to me, but if it's what you like then more power to you. I love people and busy streets and getting all dressed up just to go to Wal-mart. I wouldn't be able to stay inside my house all of the time. my husband, on the other hand, would love to just stay at home and buy all his things online or have me go buy them for him. I do buy some things online like clothes and jewelry and I pay my bills online, but everything else is done outside where the people are. Your happiness is all that matters. Happy myLotting!
@gemini_rose (16264)

Yes I can see why some would say it was boring, I actually agree but all this has come from circumstances that happened to me a few years back, I became very withdrawn so shopping online was ideal for me to stay in. Also having no friends meant shopping was boring so it was just easier.

I think it is good to shop online as it saes time and money both. I think but in some cases you need to know what the product looks or feels like and so the physical presence or feel is important which is absent in case of online thing. But it is good you must be saving a lot of time by shopping online.

To be honest I dont think it saves me on time, sometimes it seems to take ages to shop but it does save on money and that is the most important thing.

Shopping online is a convenient thing in our life. But it always made some trouble! The quality, the service and so many things!~~~ So I still like go shop for most of I need!

It is very convenient, I would be lost without my computer now.

I buy very little on-line, just cds, things off ebay like computer game. I don't like going to the shops, but I do like to see things before I buy them. I have to try clothes and shoes on before I buy them, and as I am a very small size, the chance of finding something that fits on the internet is tiny (no pun intended)!

I have just fallen into a rut, shopping is no fun alone so it was just better for me to do it this way. I dont intend to do it for the rest of my life but for now it is fine!
