For me it was 52 hours and even then I only got an hours sleep and then was on my feet for another 12 hours. Asleep for les than an hour and then awake again. M-I-L came for a visit from interstate and I had been awake for 23 hours when she arrived, so no rest as we talked then time for son to go to school etc. That night F-I-L didn't phone because he had a stroke, so I drove her back home again. MIL went to hospital, I put my head down, FIL transferred to larger hospital so had to let everyone know.
When my husband arrived over some 3 days later, I left him to it and went to bed. Slept for 15 hours and woke up exhausted. :)

I once stayed up for about 39 hours because of school. I woke up that day at 7 am, came home at 4 pm and realized I had a 10 page paper due. worked on the paper from 4pm that day until 6 am the next day. On that day I had school as well and got home around 10 pm. That was the worst 39 hours of my life. The good news was that when I finally slept I was able to sleep for about 20 hours, got up and ate, and went back to sleep. I guess it balanced itself out!

My church youth group used to have lock-ins where we were supposed to stay up all night... I guess that is the longest I have gone... And I always passed out immediately when I got home! haha
