So, A couple of months back we changed Internet providers and had to go a month without internet. I found it difficult as a lot of things I needed to do or buy involved using the internet and was thankful it was only for a few days.
So what if suddenly the internet stopped working for everyone. Would you be able to carry on your life as normal?

Well for me,i think that its like saying the world comes to a halt! every aspects of our life these days depend on this innovative media, from shopping, education, stock trading.buying music.i think that societies atleast in the western world would barely function without it.

The internet is a useful tool. A lot of us use it these days for communication, job searching, networking, and other things. I prefer to have it than not have it. I would have a hard time functioning without internet for a month. I could manage it, but it would be difficult.

hi nabs
One shoudn't be adict any thing. Many we may be forced with out having even necessasities still we have to manage the show. I strongly feel that one can be stay with out internet for even several years. All these difficulties rose up with your feeling but not much with its necessity.

I really do not know what would happen if the internet suddenly stopped working for everyone. Especially with the youth of today, I think it would be a straight panic. I am sure I could carry on my life as normal, but some things such as communication would prove more difficult since I do alot of that via internet.

No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! Oh, wait...I have a few more.....No! No! No! No! No! Don't even think it. I've always had computers in my life, ever since I could remember. I started with the yellow and green screened word processors in grammar school and moved onto programming and PC's in high school. I remember when everything had to be done from DOS, then Windows came along and computers were pretty! I got the internet when I was exiting my teens. I was promoted at work and had to create reports and excel sheets and email work to my boss. I didn't know what email was when I started and was too embarrassed to ask so I got the internet at home and practiced navigating through it. I mastered that task at home and my boss was none the wiser. I've been in cyberspace ever since.
DON'T EVEN THINK IT!

Honestly,I can only survive if there is no internet connection for 2 to 3 days.If it is too long,I will be very bored and the world is seems to be end for me.Unless, if I go to work,I can survive without internet. But now,I spent most of the time on the internet since I'm unemployed for almost a month and I can't be able to carry on my life as usual.

At this point in my life I have grown very dependent on the internet. I do most of my bill paying using the internet. I do research on the internet. I do my social networking on the internet. It has become more of a time user just surfing the net (and spending time here on mylot) then even watching tv. Now if the internet just went away, I could adapt again, but it wouldn't be easy or something that I'd choose to do.

last october 2008, when i was not yet into blogging, i would just go online to check my email and read news headlines, sometimes listen to music and watch videos. nowadays since i maintain 2 blogs and planning to put up one more, i cannot imagine a day without going online. i have kept close relationships to my blog readers and i always wait for their own posts in their own respective blogs. internet for me when unavailable is being isolated from my friends.

Same here nabs24, last November 2008 we encounter problems with my internet provider and it took almost 3months. Since we don't have net connection, we only used dial-up (internet card) just to check emails or surf something the net. But hey! I can't stand the dialup since it takes tooooo slow to load the web pages. _

I have tried to live without the internet a couple of times, and I must admit that it wasn't easy. I use the internet in so many different ways, and I really miss it when I don't have access to the internet. To me the internet is not just a way to have fun and to get entertained I also use it for many practical things. I pay my bills through the internet, I find addresses, phone numbers and maps through the internet etc. I suppose I could get used to living without the internet if I really had to, but a lot of things would get more complicated that way.

Well if the internet is down for a few days.that is ok for me..
however after a few days if is still not working..I;ll start to call the service provider to fix the issue asap..
without any doubt if the Access is not up by a week. I will source cybercafe for internet access.

haha, i would never survive without internet, i spend most of my time on the computer since most of my friends are too busy playing online games and not sparing time so we can hang out. My internet stopped once took my dad 1 whole week to fix it, got so bored at home sitting and watching tv. I would never survive without internet
