Some time ago when i was new here i couldnt figure out why i got only 2 or 3 responses when i started a discussion. Finally i just decided to only respond to someone elses discussions each time they respond to mine. sort of like a "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" policy that works out pretty darn good i found IF you stick with making some good discussions fairly often. Problem being one, i procratinate and dont make any for a while therefore cutting down my chances of making payout and 2, i cant find a discussion sometimes on their page i havent already responded to.So, i need to get going off my lazy duff and hey friends, you to. LOL! lets see some ideas and more good conversations from you all. this is not a rant. JUST sayin'

LOL!!!...this is your first discussion that I've ever met some sort of analysis type of discussion. Very good, I like it very much and sincerely appreciated. When we do talking about responding to other discussion, actually, myLot needs senior members help in up keeping more new discussion "charming" with responses to new users and discussions with no response.
NEW USERS AND DWNR:
Obviously seen that, new users always quit themselves from attending or participate on myLot once their posted discussion left un-responded by others. They felt theirs are not welcome by senior members although after a week and sometime months still categorized under DWNR(discussion with no response). They need moral support from myLot senior members.
ACTION AND REACTION:
At this particular point with my own motive and objective, I sincerely take part and make my response to their discussion although it was posted in the last eight (8) months. What things made me happy?. I found once I responded to their discussion, they did commented and re-active on myLot. This is my new method of networking system and I think I will pursue this kind of activity once found there were no more new discussions posted by my friends.

myLot PROVISIONAL FACTS:[/b]
myLot is a great networking site which others cannot provide and matter of fact, myLot does promote an open discussion forum and not the debate forum. Topic of discussion on myLot is in very vast category which all members are freely to express it, as far as it does not violates discussion guideline and terms of user agreement.

i hardly ever start discussions. what goes on in my life i don't figure anybody is interested. i did start a discussion yesterday about my grandson but didn't get many reponses. of corse i thought it was a cute story. lol so guess i'll basically stick to responding.

I start discussions when I find something to start them about. A news story, a funny cat story, anything...
I do respond to other people and I have been here for almost 3 years, so I do have a lot of discussions I have started.
I try really hard to respond back when someone posts to one of my discussions, because its not much of a "discussion" if there isn't communication.

I am using that method too and if I don't find a discussion in their profile on the first page I go to the second and the third... until I find one even if it's old. I have revived some old ones recently like that.

I have been trying to respond on discussions of people who have responded to me, and I agree it's more of a guarantee, you get a repertoire with people. I try to make some good discussions, lol, but sometimes I just don't!

I agree. I know that I don't start as many discussions here and so I know that I rely on others to start them and that is not fair. However, I am a very busy wife, mother, working woman, homeschool teacher and so I don't have as much time to be here and do all that I would like to. Sometimes I just can't seem to become as involved here as I would like to be. I know that I need to start more discussions and I will work on it.

I could never keep track of who responds and I am not really concerned with who is and isn't. I just respond if I read a discussion and feel like it is something that I wish to reply to. I do not make tons here, maybe 15/20 per month but I did not join here for the moolah, anyway. :D

ok i dont either. i just love the conversation. every time i get a i answer like im doing you right now then go right to their page and respond to one of theirs. thats how i keep up. so far, i havent gotten to many to handle. altho that could happen i guess some day.

Hi bunnybon7,
When I first on to mylot and done couple of discussions and I didn't many responses till my friend told me to add friends to my friendes list, then thats how I got started, but now I still hardly do any discussions but I do a lot of responding to all my friends and thats takes all my time up, I find it easeir to just respond. I will have to think of something later to start a discussion . Hugs.

Hey bunny! I know that you're right! I still haven't started
any discussions this year! I just can't think of anything
to say! I just don't know why it's so hard for me to think
of a topic! I don't want to just start a discussion about
anything! I hate when people start discussions about things
that don't make sense or don't mean anything or are about
pizza or breakfast or stuff like that. I will try to think
up something soon~! I just have to concentrate!

Nice theory- "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" you have dicided to follow. Recently I also thinking about it so, I found I am responding to all of my friends discussions but not get from them.
I think one more matter, if we wish to get notification about our friends disscussions we must keep "Notify on".
Are you aware about it? Do you response to your friends discussions?

yes thats when i respond. when they do mine. anyway another thing is when your new it takes a long time to add up enough friends to really get going on here. so dont give up yet.
