Ok...I have woke up the last 2 mornings and have had a hard time focusing my eyes, feel light headed and very dizzy. I have talked to a couple people and they have their opinions on what could be going on. I've been told to go to the Dr. but I don't want to overreact. After all it does go away after a while and I have terrible health insurance and don't need a big Dr. bill to have to pay.
What would you do?

Could be a few things. Pregnancy can do that. Also inner ear infection or low blood sugar before you eat. Also high blood pressure can do it.. I went through a couple days of non stop dizziness and it finally went away. Never went to the doc though. Keep an eye on your body though. The better you know it the better you will know what is happening to it when something changes.

Thank you...those are the same things other have said. I have been paying attention to my blood pressure and it is a bit high...but it has always been boarder line high and since I didn't really check it all that much until yesterday I don't have much of a gage to go by. My sister and boyfriend are all over me to go to the Dr. but I am not sure it warrants that at this point. I will do what you suggest and keep an eye on things for a couple days and see what happens.

A little bit of an ear infection can also make you feel dizzy and light-headed. The same can be said of sinuses sometimes...a bit of an infection anywhere in your head can cause those symptoms.
If you think it's your sinuses, boil a pot of water, close the drain in your sink, pour the boiling water into the sink and breathe in the steam through your nose (covering your head with a towel works best) Do this for about 5 minutes will help clear your nasal passages and add moisture to your sinuses.
Try to stay away from processed sugars and processed foods as much as you can... drink water, tea, eat soup, fruit, veggies as much as possible to help your immune system stay strong and maybe fight off any illness that's may be lurking.

Thanks alot. See I was thinking the ear infection or sinus thing. I spent a bit of time outside this past weekend and it was cold and windy so the ear thing wouldn't be out of the question. Even though I had my head covered I think it can still be an issue. I have noticed this am that my jaw is a bit sore as well...up by my ears and my one ear is feeling a bit plugged up. I have some ear drops maybe I should try and I will definately drink lots of fluids and eat the things you are suggesting...I don't like to be sick so if I can fend off anything in the background I will do what I can.

Alot of things can do that. I have low blood sugar and some mornings mine is very low and I have the light headed feeling, the shakes as well as being dizzy. High Blood pressure can do that to you as well. Sinuse's can really mess with your head, if they are causing you pressure, it can effect your equilibrium to be off in your ears.
You might try a light snack before bed to see if it goes away in the morning, or try buying some over the counter sinuse aids, but don't try both at the same time, because you won't know what helped.
Best of luck!
