A husband has a lover. He is seriously ill, and would leave his property to his lover. What's your comment?

I don't think this is possible. She is only a lady of leisure for him and she doesn't have any rights to my husband's property. As the legal wife I have my full rights over every inch of my husband properties. The law is clear that a mistress without legal connections cannot claim anything from her lover. She should have thought of all these consequences before rendering her 'services'.

The question was on the list of a questionaire for graduate student admission. The intent was to judge what values the student pursue, and his judgement of the daily social issues. Thanks for your responding, which is much of sense for normal people.

I am in Canada. My partner found out when his father past away that his father had a lover for over 20 years and had two children from him. They tried to get the property that his mother and 13 children where raised in, but the law was with the family of the marriage and not of the lover. Though I feel sorry for the now adult children this man has left nothing, but that is what happens when people choose a lover relationship. You will get nothing when he passes and his wife will get everything.

Thanks for sharing. Some people are willing to sacrifice for love.

I think it depends. But no matter whether he leave his property to his lover or not,he should bear responsibility for his wife and children. He cann't free from this responsibility. Happy mylotting!~

Well it depends, if his lover deserves all his property then why not?
