If you "bought" it, then you just got robbed. It is in Beta 1 stage right now and NOT a complete operating system. Much like Vista was at this point, there are only a limited number of programs which will function properly with it. You should try to get your money back from the jerk that sold it to you and report this issue.

Alike as that is the problem with beta versions. They have a lot of problems and that is the reason I never try them on my computer. It is best to use a proper version when it is released overall. The beta version is released to the poor intention so that users contested and the company can get an idea about what bugs are there inside the operating system and so that they can fix it before releasing it properly. Microsoft should do this because their previous operating system was a complete flop according to me. It does have the looks to make you wow. But when it comes to performance it is one of the most crap operating system is available in the market. They have launched Windows 7 beta version so that they can allow the users to test them on their computers and get feedback about the advantages and disadvantages of the operating system. So that when they release their final version of the operating system it does not create too many problems for them while marketing. And about the antivirus compatibility, I don't know which one you are using but if it is a very old antivirus than definitely it will not be supported. Otherwise I think Microsoft will not make such a version which is not compatible with the way the basic program like antivirus and stop
