Ok so my son is now 7. He dosnt really really fall asleep anywhere wierd anymore.
But when he was like 2 he would fall asleep in his dinner. That is the cutest thing, when these little kids are dowsing off at the dinner table. he had a mouth full of food his head would fall and he would stop chewing...
and then his eyes would open a little..his head would pop back up and he would start chewing again...until he would slowly drift off.lol
So i took his from his mouth and took him to lay down in his bed. He has also done this while sitting on the couch...playing with his toys.
Have your kids done this....randomly fell asleep.?

my daughter has fallen asleep in her bouncer seat and mid scream in the back seat. the most adorable thing i ever witnessed when it came to this however was watching my moms boyfriends grandson fall asleep at the table when we were at the beach. he was eating clams and actually fell asleep on his plate. it was priceless!

Tracie...that is so cute...i love when kids fall asleep while eating. What it must be like to be so care free...to.just be able to fall asleep in mid bounce...and not worry about falling. And at dinner and not worry about the mess you might make. Kids are so great for helping us appreciate the little things in life.

OMG LOL i use to do that..in fact I was so bad as alittle one my mother had to either sit there or have my brother or sister sit there to make sure I didnt drown in my soup etc....
As for my kids, when they were tots they could, would and did fall asleep anywhere..If they were tired, didnt matter what they were doing or where they were, they'd nod off...It was too funny more often than not to be honest with ya LOL

Thats the same with my son...he would fall asleep whenever, where ever it didnt really matter what he was doing. I love how innocent it is. And the really heaving look they get in their eyes, and they just start dosing.

My wife and I have farmed for more than 50 years. Once when our first boy was 4 years old we took 2 tractors and some equipment to a pasture farm, some distance from home, where we were renovating some pasture. The cattle herd was grazing in the same field. Our little son was quite friendly with a particular cow called, "Ruthie." As we began to cultivate in the field, our son was playing along the edge under some trees. As the day heated up, the cows wandered over to the shade trees. Ruthie came along too, and was soon lying down, chewing her cud, in the shade. The child knew Ruthie well, and as soon as she lay down he went over and crawled up on her back. He sat there quietly, while she continued to chew her cud. Shortly thereafter his head began to nod, and he was soon fast asleep, lying forward on her back.

hello kayla
awww, how sweet is that when your son would fall asleep eating. i cannot remember any of my boys doing that. lol but usually my boys would always fall asleep after a long day at the park, beach or wherever that we would spend the day at, as soon as we would get in the car and head back home, it would get really peaceful in the car, and i would look at both of them sitting in the back seat of the car and they would both be passed out like light bulbs. lol yippee! sometimes when that they have both fallen asleep in the car coming home like that, my hubby and myself could get them inside in their beds without waking them up. needless to say, those days are gone. lol but my boys used to have one of those walker toys to get around in when i was busy in the house cleaning and doing things like that, that i would put them in so that they wouldn't get hurt or fall down, and both of them have fallen asleep before in that walker toy. lol i miss the days of caring for my sons when that they were both babies.
take care and have a beautiful day today!

That is always the greatest...when you are comming home in the car from a busy day...and they fall asleep and all is quiet. The quiet gives you time to enjoy yourself and think. LOl kids are always so cute when they are sleeping...sometimes I wonder if it's because their quiet and still, not destroying everyhitn in thier site. lol

My son just fell asleep at his high chair as well! So very cute! I love to put him up there after a long day of playing at the park or letting him run around to tire himself out. It's almost a given that after his tummy gets full he will fall right asleep!

This has happened many times to my kids when they were younger. My one child fell asleep on top of the toilet, she was supposed to go to the bathroom to get ready for bed. I went to check on her and there she was lid down curled up on the lid asleep. I have yet to figure out how thay can sleep in such positions. It also has happened to my friends daughter alot. His daughter fell asleep outside on her little quad bike. I don't know how they do it.

I don't have kids of my own, but--no. I hadn't had that one when I was a kid... I think. When I collapse I usually run to an adult. They used to say that I always liked lying on someone's stomach for a reason I never knew.

I wouldnt exactly call this weird, but it sure was cute to find. Another time, I realized that the house was way too quite, so I started searching for my daughter. I had been here in the basement on the computer, so I walked around the basement, nothing. I went upstairs in every room, nothing. It was pouring down rain outside but I went out to look anyway, nothing. Now I am starting to get worried. I came back downstairs, and noticed a huge box by the tv, we had just bought a new grill, and just for the heck of it I opened the flaps. Well, there she was, curled up fast asleep inside the box!

When one of my daughters was about 2, she used to fall asleep sitting upright watching "romper room". One time she was eating oreos and milk and I literally had to scoop the oreos out from the inside of her cheeks because I was afraid she would choke in her sleep...

I am adult you never know where I am gonna crawl up and sleep at. I like to sleep on the deck, the woods or marsh, under a table, lay in the sun on the carpet... in a chair sitting up.. and well there was that time I fell asleep while chatting and I sleep typed... just before I drifted off i typed ZzZzZz night... and well its a good thing I always log my transcripts.. so I knew what I was typing i n my sleep that night and it was hilarious :) ... nothing to bad other than a few really naughty jokes :) . - DNatureofDTrain
