Dear friends,
For the past three days, I system is not functioning well. It's a desktop, Winsowx xp SP2. When ever I click the mouse buttom, it will respond only after 4 0r 5 seconds. Meanwhile, the entire system get stuck for a while and then start working. If I type something, the letters are placed only after few second, and this typing problem exists now and then. But, when I am clicking on the mouse, the entire brwoser(Fire fox) stops for 4 or 5 sec, and then working. If I try to scroll the mouse, a am not able to get the free movement of contents in the screen. Some time it is stand by and some time it is moving with a jerk.I am able to hear a large ringing noice. If I see the CPU usage, it is taking most of the time 100%. What could be the problem and please sugguest some possinle solution.

hi, i think the problem is because of virus. i recomend u to use Avast Antivirus software which is available free of cost. n i also recomend u to use tuneup utilities which will clean ur system. it removes unnecessary files n cleans ur registry also. in one sentence, it will be the doctor of ur system.

since it is taking 100% of cpu.i think it can't take your workload.how long have you been using pc???ram and cpu usually cause most of these problems except for of course spywares...clean up your pc and if still the problem continues i would recommend upgrading the computer.

well my friend from the indications that you have described a think your laptop is infected with the virus otherwise a computer would not show 100% Cpu usage. and especially when it comes to Windows xp, it is not a resource hog and so you can rest assured that you are bound to the performance from that operating system. Acting it is better that you scan your computer for a virus. If it detects then it is will include the fragment your computer to get some speed going into your computer. And if these things that don't work when I am afraid you have to format your computer and install everything to get a proper working condition of your computer. Personally speaking my best option is formatting the computer because now and then I have seen that after using the computer for quite a few months it starts getting slower and slower than the performance is sometimes irritating. So at that time what they do is format my computer and install of the software is being. Although it is a very painful process and takes almost 2 and half hours for me to get back my PC to the original state it is what the waste of time because it gives me the performance of the game.

I think your system was affected by any virus programs. Do you have any antivirus
software? If any keep it updated every time. Try to scan and remove the virus
programs. If antivirus software cannot bring back you system safe you need to reinstall you PC's operating system.

Before one month I also faced same problem. It is due some type of virus. Some files of xp may be corrupted. I have formated my whole computer and installed all software new and best antivirus that is AVG 8free. You do formate and intall all software again then your problem will be fixed. If you donot know how to formate then post mail I will thoroughly explalin. Don't worry this problem Will be fixed. So do this thing. Best of luck.

It maybe because of a virus, or maybe because you are runninn too many applications which cause the processes is getting too high, this might be caused even by a virus, get a good antivirus, or take back up and re-install after a complete format, then on another computer do a virus checkup on the backup and copy them back.

You can also inter the fire fox installation files ,del tmp files in it .
You can also scan system with safe software without internet.
