I Am Going Away Again.

Hey minnie! I don't know anything about the area that you are going to but I think that it's great that you are going on an all "girls vacation"! I hope you got little Savanna her first little bikini and plenty of sunscreen! And you must have the camera ready to take tons of photos! I do hope that you have a wonderful vacation as I am sure that you need one by now! I think that it's wonderful that you and Savanna will be taking this trip together! It sound's like a great place you picked for a vacation spot too! I've never been there, but sure would love to go someday!

Enjoy your trip. I am jealous because I've always wanted to visit Alcatraz. I had a very close friend, lost her last year, who lived north of Sacramento and I visited her several times. I always just took time to enjoy the sun and scenery. The weather in that part of the country is beautiful. Very few clouds and such a relaxed atmosphere. We didn't do alot except visit a few little stores in the downtown area. If you get to San Francisco, ride the trolly cars. I didn't get to Lake Tahoe but would have loved to do some gamling in that part of the country. Have a great time, carolbee

That sounds wonderful Minnie, I hope you have a blast. I have been out to Cal. 2 times, once in the LA area and once in the San Fransico area. Thats a wonderful city, dress warm it will be cold. How long will you be gone? Have a safe trip and have fun.

Well you have named all I know cant think if you will be close to Sanfrancisco but if so I would ride the trolly to some where always wanted to ride one there. Hugs and have loads of fun!

Hey minnie, if you are going to be near Sacramento, why not meet up with a fellow mylotter who is in the Sac area, like myself. How far are you willing to travel? If you go to San Francisco, you could go to places like the San Francisco Zoo (bigger and better than the one in Sacramento), Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, and the California Academy of Sciences (one of my all time favorite places to go to when I was little) to name a few. If you want to get away from the snow I wouldn't recommend Tahoe this time of year. Well lucky you I say but you deserve it after the baby. Its great to get to know each other one on one with the little one you will love it. I have not been to California (suprise suprise I live Down Under) so no help there. Get lots of snacks and drinks with you you never know when she is going to need something and better safe then sorry. Plus get a new toy that she does not know for the flight as that could be scary for a baby.

I have no tips, but have a very good and safe trip. I really wish I could afford to take our kids on a vacation, but I'll be lucky to be able to keep a roof over their heads. At least we are together and that is what matters.

By now you and little baby Savannah should me in sunny California. I hope that you are having a wonderful time. I hope that your flight there was fine and that you are having an excellent time. Savanna is a great age to get used to traveling by train. My son, Leo, went on a plane to Portugal when he was four months old. My tip is to go to China Town in San Francisco because it is fascinating. When I was there I loved seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. Happy traveling.

It would be really net to see Alcatraz. I have watched the movie of a true story of the guys who Escaped from Alcatraz it would be neat to see what cell they were in and everything. I have not been to California in about 15 years. Have a great time of your trip.

Wow good for you, for me a vacation to a place like California is a one in a lifetime experience, this is because I am living here in the Philippines. Anyway, just don't forget to bring some medicines for common sickness like paracetamol and some anti-motility just in case, etc. Good luck and have a nice vacation!

My only tip is to invest in a purse by Pacsafe. They have them on line and at AAA. They are steel mesh lined with steel cables under the strap and are hard to steal. I use them for travel all of the time. Other than that, have a good time!!

Hi Minnie.. You will love it in California. My husband, daughter,her husband, and the two kids just got back from San Diego California. We loved it there. The weather was great nice and sunny. My son-in-law rented a van and we went to Sea World, Disneyland, and to the Zoo, had a lot of fun. We spent a lot of time on the beach.The kids played in the sand,water and even collected sea shells. Our son in-law even rented a wet suit for himself and for the 4 year ols and they went boggie boarding .We had a great time.

I live in California and there are lots of places to visit. I'm not sure how long that you will be in the area, but be sure and ride the cable car. Fisherman's Wharf is a great place to visit.

I bet you are getting excited! woo Hoo.....I haven't been to California...lots of other places so can't help you out! Just make sure baby has something to suck on during the take off's and landings or her little ears will hurt!

It is good to go away for a vacation. I think I will have to wait for a year before I can even think of a vacation. Cheers!!!

you need a vacation, and this would be a great chance. arent your two kids jealous that you will only take savanna with you? an all girl vacation is good for you. we are only three in the family if my wife will go for a only girl vacation i am sure me and seven will go crazy. har har har. goodluck and take care. dont forget to enjoy even you miss the boys.

wow you're so lucky. be sure to make a list of places to eat as well. it's nice to have a list or restaurants handy. you should go to popular places and hole in the walls. make sure you mix it up and dine at a ritzy eatery at least once. i hope you'll enjoy your trip and see celebrities!!! enjoy and be safe!! oh, and you must do some shopping. retail outlets are slashing prices lately i'm sure you'll get a good bargain. :)
