Hi, how's it going?
Well in March I'm about to hit my 3 year anniversary with my current girlfriend.
At the moment I'm doing a long distance thing - she's in Michigan and I'm in Brisbane, Australia.
We only get to spend about 3-6months a year together (it's all I can currently afford), and at times it's heartbreaking being apart.
I have to say that this is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life and now more than ever I'm feeling the strain of it all.
It's so worth it when we're together though. I've no doubt she's who I want to marry and have a family with.
I've had relationships here with girls who live only a couple of suburbs away, and those relationships turned out horribly.
So whilst a lot of people may not understand our willing-ness to be involved in such a long-term long distance relationship, it's still ultimately the most rewarding and best relationship of my life.
And at this point, I have no other dreams apart from being together.

I am single by marital status. But I am not alone because I have a boyfriend. I do wish to be single sometimes to be free from certain responsibilities, and have unlimited time to be on my own.
But being with someone has made me become a happier, and better person. I would be so hurt if I'd lose my guy.

hi rafjoe,
No, I am not single. I am in relationship right now.Well, I can say being single has its own advantages and disadvantages. I can see not all singles are lonely with their life.My aunt remains single in her whole life. She is now at her 50's but never ever tried even once to have a boyfriend. She told us that she prefers to be alone than be in a relationship. In fact, she mentioned that guys are just a headache.
I don't know why she has those thinking. But one advantage I can see on her being a single is that she can do whatever she wants to do. She can travel to any places without hassle because she is thinking of no one. She has no boyfriend, husband or kids either. But, even though, we can get those advantages from being single, I still prefer to be in a relationship. I am happy being in a relationship. Although, me and my boyfriend has misunderstanding sometimes, I still love to be with him. I hate it being alone.I think that I will enjoy more the life I have if I am spending it with my partner. Whenever I am with my boyfriend I feel so complete. He is the one who keeps me going on. He is the one who I'm getting my strength whenever I feel down. In fact, I don't want to lose him.

I love being single! I was married for 19 years and for the most part I did enjoy it-except when it ended-and I had relationships before my marriage but I prefer being single. I'm not in a relationship and have no plans to be, I can do anything I want at any time and with anyone I choose. If I want to go shopping with my mom or a friend, I go. Nobody complains that dinner isn't ready or questions me. I don't even date and I like it that way!

i am happy for being single right now. Although i am 32 years old but still i am contented with my present status. I am free from everything that a married people don't have. I love roaming around and traveling to other places. If you are married it's limited.

It's been so long since I was single, I don't know what that would be like. And I don't want to find out.

I am married and love it,could not imagine being single again,I enjoyed being single to a certain degree and had a lot of adjusting to do ,being on your own makes you selfish but I had the kids to consider, but even so .At one time I never thought I would adjust to sharing again but I kept at it and it is wonderful. Some girls like to be single not me.Being married gives both partners security and someone to share lifes ups and downs with, someone to rely on.I can talk to my husband about anything and he will give me an honest opinion, that is great.xx

Im single and im happy with it.
Theres nothing wrong with being single, its nice coz you dont have to worry about anything or bother yourself with other people's business. I have been through with a nine year long relationship and i tell you i have great memories and i also enjoy being single.
I can do anyhting i want, but i must also share that there are things that i miss, before i go to places with someone to accompany me but now i go alone and i also try to enjoy somehow.
have a nice day and happy mylotting,

You are still young so you won`t be single for long. Whats the hurry? You have a long life ahead of you. I am single because of certain circumstances that came into my life. I am over 60 years so i now do not feel the need to go for a partner. Though i am all alone i do not feel lonely or neglected. As for you life is just beginning and many experiences will come your way.
