Yes... I'd studied nihonggo for a year. Yes it was really hard that I decided to quit because there were only two words i've learned to say...it's only "SOGUKO KAWAII".....

I've studied Japanese for a long time now and I just got my JLPT level 2 certification recently and am trying to find a job where I can use it.
You should try reading comic books-- you can practice kana, the kanji all have furigana (little kana on the side in case you don't know the kanji), and there's pictures that help you understand the general meaning.
That's what I did at least.

I love studying Nihongo! I have studied Nihonggo 3 years ago and I learned quick! It's one of the easiest languages to learn! In fact, it's so easy compared to Korean or Chinese language. Chinese language have really complicated characters while Korean are hard to memorize sometimes. I find Japanese language the easiest to learn LANGUAGE. Hiaragana and Katakana are so easy to memorize. Some Kanji characters are hard to memorize though. And the words are not that complicated.

I have been studying the language since I was 11. However, I always didn't have the time because of school. What happened is that I just learned bit by bit of basic Japanese throughout the years.
What I find difficult in learning Japanese is some parts of the sentence or word forms that I can't really understand and can't find in most books. It's also difficult to remember Kanji characters. What's more difficult is that their sentence patterns are really different compared to my native language, Filipino, or to Japanese. It's really learning a completely different thing, not just learning words and that's it.
I hope I really get to learn the Japanese language someday.
