To those of you who have all boys/girls for your children, will you continue trying to have another kid of different gender? Or will you stop trying because you have enough children for you to take care of?

i guess the question is if you can afford to look after your children. I have two lovely little girls. i was hoping for a boy the second time round but i wouldn't swop my girls for anything. i don't think i'd try again for a boy. the blessings i have with my daughters are more than enough. financially, i would prefer to give them the best education and care that i can. in today's day and age a person really can't afford more than 2 children.

I had 3 boys and really wanted to have a girl. I am so close to my mom that I was hoping to experience that bond between mother and daughter. Well when my youngest son was 6, I had my last baby and she was a girl. Guess I was suppose to have my little girl all along.

Hey there aprilten
Well I have 3 boys and I was pregnant with another baby but lost it really early on during the pregnancy, like 3 weeks which in the end was a blessing in disguise because I then fled from my husband with the kids! I didn't want to have another child because I wanted a daughter, not at all but because I wanted another child. It would probably have been another boy anyway!!
What about you aprilten?

I have 3 boys, too. Some of my friends are saying that we should have another one, a girl this time, because it's lucky to have 3 boys in a row followed by a girl. But, I said, no way. Like you said, what if it's another boy. Of course, every child is a blessing but we have to be real. Like mobhomeir said, it's not easy to raise children nowadays.

There were so many cases of couples longing to have a child boy/girl in their families. Keep on longing to have a boy or a girl in the family until their children reach more than suppose only the ideal number of children.
Me? Two is enough. Whether it would be all boys or girls as long as in good health. I would not be looking for another because raising more children nowadays is not a joke, it's not easy. I would rather have only two than more of it that I could not afford raise them properly... Nice topic..

I have one and that's enough. The major factor here is not the gender but how many children can you afford to raise and give proper education.
