Till last semester even i traveled through my college bus and my college is 75 kms away from my home.So it normally took around 1 and a half hour to reach college and another 1 and a half to come back.So i spent half of my day in bus.But i enjoyed this journey and we had a great time in bus rather than college,,It got boring somedays,,but i used to hear songs for time pass at that time.
Now when i have completed my college,,i really miss those days...!!!

I have no other choice but to travel by the bus. My car went out in May of last year, so I have to travel by bus. Every so often, I go with my boyfriend in his car, but for the most part or with a friend of my daughters who isn't working at present. but for the most part, the bus is my mode of transportation. I also get around by walking too. It don't bother me cause I like to do that. I am hoping to get a car so I can get to work without hassle. That's my thing.

I usually take the bus to school, too. It's only about 5 miles away but parking is WAY too expensive (like $10 a day), so I usually take the bus instead (so as to save money), and I agree with you..There ARE a lot of annoying people on the bus!

My college is at a distance of 12 Kms from my home. In my route there is no college bus due to the lack of students. I used to travel in private buses and takes almost 30 minutes. I never feel this journey as irritating or boring. I don't have any problems with the peoples like that you face everyday.

i dont need to travel either by bus or by train , even if i have to travel it must be very long distance and most of the time i do prefer either train or if i think time is wasted due to train i prefer flight. I do get a cab very nearby to my house to go to my work place and other days when i have to go for shopping i prefer an auto and never a bus. i dont like the crowd in a bus , i like to travel happily and peacefully whereever i can.

I travel on a bus every day to work it is aone hour drive and for the most part I pass time ny listening to the radio on the bus .There is a popular talk show that I like to listen to.I dont usually find anyone interesting to talk to but sometimes there is the odd conversation that makes me laugh. Most of the time I am looking outside at the passing scenery .
Most of the peopl I meet are amicable but about a week ago I two ladies came on the bus who I found totally annoying. They were apparently drunk and speaking way too loud and behaving disgracefully .

Here in my country people is very cold, no one talks to no one in buses, so the only option is to listen music. My college is 15 km far from my house, so its a long travel because the traffic makes it endless.

I do not travel in a bus or train. I used to ride the bus to go to school, but now I just go to school by car. The only times I used trains were during summer. During summer, I would always visit my relatives, and the train was the easiest way to get to their houses. I used to face people like the girl you described, but I would either ignore them or move away from them.

I used to travel in bus because my workplace is far away from home. And I feel quite boring if I take the bus alone. When I take the bus alone I'll listen song in my mobile phone to kill time. The most terrible experience of bus was some guys get on bus with stink feet.It makes me sick.........

I travel on a bus a lot, and I agree, the ride can get irritating. The bus I go on always seems to be loud. There are people shouting across the bus and others who are just plain annoying. : O There's usually little room to move in too, and when it's time to leave, the whole walking area gets filled just and people shove and push. That's the part that irritates me the most though, since I can almost always ignore the shouting.

I also take the bus to school every day and I encounter annoying people who talk about pointless things all the time. I've learned to tune out and just ignore them, though...I guess I've gotten used to it by now. Once I sat beside a girl who was having a fight with her boyfriend over the phone. Boy, she sounded mad and she just kept yelling and yelling, and I doubt he he had the chance to utter even a word. At the end of it, they just broke up. I felt bad for the guy. =S

Hi mone101, uhmm here in Philippines, Bus and Jeepneys are the ones that dominates in public transportation, well bus here is much better that jeep though you don't have anyone to talk to, xcept your friends if you have. There's a TV in front of the bus, i mean inside, hanging behind the bus driver. we don't have train here. lolz

The city where i live doesn't have a big mass transit system, so it takes twice as long to get someplace by bus. We do not have trains.
If the time was about the same i would rather take a bus so i could spend the time reading the paper or resting my eyes or something. Then I can let someone else do the driving and relax a little more.

Well, living in a city I have to admit that I do use public transport a lot of the time. Buses, trains and ferries.
I never used to really mind the buses or trains, but I have to catch a bus regularly to get home from work, and like you... it just seems really tedious and irritating now.
The one form of public transport I don't mind are the ferries. They're fast, fun, and I get to have a bit of freahs air and sun. :)
