wild rat in my house.!!!!!!!

You have one! I had more than a dozen at one time while I stayed in a friends house in Des Moines Iowa. This house I stayed in was the starting play for the band known as Slip KNot. My bed use to be next to a wall where the rats use as a raceway. We did have a snake, a Boa, but there was too many rats. The best solution we came up with was peanut butter. Put it on the traps at night and you will hear those traps go off all night.
