When i talk to someone on the phone, how long i talk to them for usually depends on who they are and what they are to me, For example i will talk to a family member who is around my age and i know well for up to 3 hours while others in my family i will speak to for like 10 seconds. Also i can talk to a friend for ages. I find it may be because of how openly you can talk to that person and how well they understand you and speak openly to you as well. So how long can you talk on the phone for?

It depends on who I am talking to, what we are talking about, and what else is going on. If I am not doing anything in particular, I will spend more time on the phone. I talk to my Mom and my best friend for longer periods of time than I do my brother for instance. I have spent up to 2 hours talking to Mom or my best friend. Needless to say, by the time we were done talking, my ear needed a break! LOL

I like to talk on phone if I know them or very close to me. if i don't know then I would not even take a min. to finish the call. As again i have to say its all depends on that whom we are talking to. Some people like to talk gossip over hours and hours don't matter to whom they are talking.

It depends on who I don't like to talk to my friends, I only like to talk to my sister, my mom and my hubby.

As for me, it all depends on whom I am talking to, the reason why we are talking, and the likes. If it'll only for the purpose of clarifying things, less than a minute would've been enough. But if I am talking to my partner, it would be ages before we stop. As for my friends, if I am in the mood to talk then it'll take about an hour or more.

I dislike phones greatly. I don't know why, I just don't like them. I feel uncomfortable when I talk on them. If I need to talk to a family member, I want to talk to them face to face. I have the tendency to stutter a lot when I'm talking on the phone. My mind goes blank and I don't know what to say. Then there are these long uncomfortable silences. I'm not sure what it is that causes it, but it just is.

I usually don't like to talk on the phone much because my friends call me only to complain about their lives and don't really care what I feel like, I guess you could say they are a little selfish! They are wonderful friends, but they are a little self absorbed. When I wake up, I'll play back my messages on the answering machine and if I feel like, I call them back, but most of the time I don't feel like it! I'll let this go on for a few days, then call them back and make up some excuse like, I wasn't feeling good, or I lost my voice, or I was away at my sisters, or just plain too busy! I guess you could say, I'm just not very interested in my friends!

i am similar like you... it depends on the person i talk to... how well i know him/her and how comfortable i am with him/her... also, whether i am in the mood to talk and i have the time to spend to chat... if i am busy and not in the mood, i wouldn't want to talk for too long on the phone even though i know the person really well... take care and have a nice day...

yeah almost same like yours, who are they and how much they mean to me. it is impossible for anyone to talk to a stranger up to 3 hours, if they really do there must be something wrong going on ^^ but the best talk is with my girlfriend whom i can talk with the whole day, all night long

the same goes with me. it's depends on what's their relationship with me. for those who are close with me like family members or friends, i can talk quite long.
in my old days i can talk on phone for more than 3 hours, but nowadays i can't talk for more than 1 hour. first i will feel my right ear burning, so i need to change to the left, then later both ears burning & i have to stop... LOL!

It is true that the time depends on who they are and what they are to me.I can speak with a good friend who has the same interest with me,but to someone who doesn't speak the same language,I will hold on just a few minutes. The lack of a common language made it very difficult to intercommunicate with each other.

I usually talk to my girlfriend for 2 hours a day because we have made a long distance relationship.Every 1 hour the cellular phone operator make my calls cut off. So I have to call her again in the second time. It make me more relax after working hour.

It's the same way for me. It really depends on whom I'm talking to and how important (or trivial) is the topic.

Over the summer I think the longest phone call was 9 hours. Most of it was just being connected by a phone and not actually talking. I talk to my boyfriend most of the time since I can't see him but once a week (blech). I can only talk to family members for up to half an hour mostly. Other than that I don't really have any reason for a phone. Haha.

you are right, it depends on the person you are talkin to and the topic of the discussion too, then there are other matters as well like when i was in the U.S. recently, i had nothing to do at home n my phone was free, so i used to talk for like 4-5 hours in 24 hours, but when i am in India i dont talk to any of my freinds that much, because we usually meet....
